Sam will take off one week to ten days for paternity leave and then another week or so later in the year. We have a two year old son (Hugo) who will be in school from 8:30 to 1:30 Monday through Friday. I would like to speak with you about our specific needs, but I think it would be something like three days for five hours in the first week I’m home from the hospital, five days for five hours the next week, and then maybe two or three days for four hours the week after that. I plan to give birth at Alexander Cohen hospital but live in Bedstuy Brooklyn. I would like a post partum doula/night nurse completely covered by my Anthem Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance. By August I will also have an 18 month old as well.

I plan to give birth at NYU with Downtown Women. We are hoping to find doula covered by our insurance Blue Cross Blue Shield but if there are additional services requiring payment that is also ok. This is my first time pregnancy and I don’t have a plan for delivery yet.
