Find Birth Doula Jobs Near New York, NY

I would love to do a home birth, or a birthing center. But most midwives don’t accept Medicaid. So I’m trying to find ones that do. I am 9 weeks pregnant on Sunday. My budget is under 5,000 if I can find a good midwife who can also do payment plans. I want a very hands off birth. I don’t like a lot of intervention. I like to do my own thing and only want help if I need it. It’s important to me to have a midwife that has faith in God and is fearless to help me also feel that way during birth. I don’t want vaccines.

I'm a first time mom expecting twins! I want as much education as I can get and extra support during delivery. I plan on delivering at the Mountain West Medical Women's Care Center in Tooele, UT and would really like a tub birth. I feel that having a doula who is specialized and equiped with the knowledge of birth and delivery would help both my partner and I be more confident in the delivery room. I would like to have that extra support that would know how to help or calm me down if my partner gets overwhelmed with everything, as it is our first pregnancy! Not sure specifically on a budget as I don't know estimated costs and don't make a whole lot of money. I have a generalized birth plan written out, but I'm not sure if I'm missing any key details or not.

Birth plan: -Low lights, fairy lights electric candles set up sound healing music. -Breathe through contractions -No epidural, Water birth. Maybe laughing gas if pain is really bad. -Absolutely no being induced -Natural water rupture. -No membrane sweep. -Privacy minimal staff in room no students.(having students learn while in labour made me stressed and feel uneasy) -Intermittent monitoring not continuously monitoring. -Delay cord clamping 7-15 min. Cord is white -Are cervix checks necessary? Only checked if requested by me -Do I have to stay in hospital if I had no interventions? -Naturally birth placenta, no pitocin or cord traction. -Wait for my body to push on its own no forced pushing. -No fundal massage unless there excessive bleeding. -Vitamin k drops not injected.

I thought giving birth at home would be great but that seems to be a bit harder than I first thought out to be. But having someone who knows in the hospital with me would be fantastic. I definitely don’t want any of the extra stuff they try to do or “try to help” you with getting the baby out. I want delayed cord clamping as far as it can go and I know most consider it to be 1-5 minutes which doesn’t seem long enough to me. I know hospitals have protocols about doing certain things and I want someone who’s listening while I am labouring because that in itself is hard enough.

I am needing a doula or a midwife. I have my first apt with a OBYGN but I believe I would like to go natural *no epidural* for the first time. I have had 4 pregnancies and births prior to this one all with epidural and vaginally. For my last final baby i would like to try and experience more of the natural birth as far as I can go before I ask for the epidural or for the whole birth.
