I plan to give birth at Northside Atlanta Hospital. My budget is hopefully to be covered by my insurance. (I have CareSource thru Medicaid.) I’m not currently working so I don’t have any money to pay out of pocket unfortunately. Looking to give birth at Prentice Women's Hospital in the city. I'd like to go a mostly natural birthing route, but would like the hospital environment for the "just in case" piece of birth. I am a first time mom and my husband and I want someone who we can get to know well, and who will spend time with us answering all of our questions. We have vaccine questions, we want to do delayed cord clamping, we would like a vaginal birth (unless dangerous for me or baby), we would like skin to skin immediately, we would like to try to not be induced if that's possible. I'm not needing a fully unmedicated birth but want to go as long as possible without any epidural or any intervention of that sort.

I want to have an advocate for my birth plan with me and also someone helping me through my pregnancy and delivery. I want to feel as prepared as I can with helpful knowledge and a more natural approach that is best for the baby not what the standards are which sometimes I feel like the hospital goes by.

I’m not exactly sure, I’ve never done this and I’m wanting an at home birth if possible. My budget is probably around $4,000-$5,000.
