We are open to nitrous oxide (laughing gas) as a pain management option if needed. Movement during labor is very important to us, including walking, upright labor positions, and frequent position changes to support comfort and labor progress. We are looking for a doula who is comfortable providing early labor support at home, along with hands-on comfort measures, breathing and grounding techniques, and partner coaching. Advocacy is also important to us. We want support with communicating and upholding our birth preferences with hospital staff, as well as maintaining clear boundaries around who is present during labor, including support with limiting family presence in the birthing room. We value calm, evidence-informed guidance that prioritizes safety while supporting our goals.

Hi! I wanted to share a little about the support I’m hoping for during labor. I’d really like to try for an unmedicated birth if possible, so having help with breathing, positioning, and counter pressure during contractions would mean a lot. My priorities are being able to move freely, delivering in the position I choose, delayed cord clamping, and keeping interventions minimal if everything is safe. I’d also love a calm, dark, peaceful environment. My pregnancy has IUGR, so there’s a chance I may need to deliver earlier than expected. I’m hoping for someone who can support me emotionally, help advocate for me if needed, and also guide my partner on how he can best support me during labor. I’m planning to use Medicaid/Blue Cross Community if possible, and I also wanted to ask if it would be possible to be matched with a Caucasian doula for my own comfort. Thank you! 🤍

Plan to give birth at the hospital, but I’m worried about my safety and autonomy to make medical decisions for myself and have my wishes respected. I have no clue about a birth plan or what the level of care I need would cost.

Plan on giving birth at Northside off the perimeter. Our due date is April 22 will be induced the week prior depending OB schedule. Would like to stick under 1,500. For first plan, I would like the best pain management extremely anxious about this therefore would like a Doula who can coach me through non-pharmaceutical intervention as well as being comfortable with epidurals.
