|
Location: New York, NY 10023, USA
Due date or baby's birthday: December 13, 2025
I plan to give birth in the hospital. I would like to pay as little as possible. Birth Plan: • I would like to have music playing w. Aromatherapy. • I prefer to move around freely during labor. • I would like access to birthing balls, showers (if applicable). • I’d like intermittent monitoring instead of continuous, if safe. • Pain relief: I prefer to try natural methods first (breathing, massage, movement), Delivery Preferences • I would like to push in positions that feel most comfortable (squatting, side-lying, hands-and-knees). • I prefer minimal coached pushing unless necessary. • I’d like the option of mirror use or touching my baby’s head as they crown. • If a C-section becomes necessary, I’d like my partner present and skin-to-skin contact as soon as possible. ⸻ Newborn Care • Immediate skin-to-skin after birth, if baby is stable. • Delay cord clamping until it stops pulsating. • Breastfeed as soon as possible after delivery. • I prefer routine newborn procedures (vitamin K, eye ointment, weight, bath) delayed until after bonding and first feeding. I do not want the baby vaccinated. But the vitamin K shot would be fine considering I’d like for him to be circumcised. • I would like for the baby to stay in the room with me. |

This is my second baby, my first being born in August of 2025 (currently 7 months postpartum). I gave birth at Lima Memorial previously and loved the experience - however, I ended up getting an epidural at 9 cm dilated when I had wanted to deliver naturally. I was hoping to try again naturally. I have no budget for doula services. |

looking for a doula and postpartum doula (maybe nightime support), for a disabled mother (incomplete paraplegia). She walks with crutches but has a wheelchair. Giving birth at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital. Insurance coverage - Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield Hoping to have a vaginal birth. Kneeling birthing position (not on back unless absolutely necessary). Unable to have an epidural. Hospital has minimal pain management options (maybe some local because I asked about it. No to nitrous, they don't do that here, mixed opiate if absolutely necessary. If C-section is required, general anesthesia is necessary.) Mother, former nanny, will be at the hospital for the birth. |
