Mom is a high-risk pregnancy with higher anxiety, so we’re looking for someone calm, reassuring, and experienced in supporting first-time parents. Our primary goal is to build confidence through hands-on guidance and education rather than just caregiving. We would love support with newborn care basics including feeding (breastfeeding, pumping, and paced bottle feeding), diapering, burping, soothing techniques, swaddling, gas relief, and sleep support. We’re especially looking for someone who can actively teach and guide us during sessions so we can learn and feel confident caring for our baby. We would also appreciate guidance on what is normal for newborn behavior vs. when to be concerned. Hands-on help with bathing (especially the first few times) would be very helpful. For postpartum recovery, occasional guidance such as sitz baths, padsicles, and belly binding would be appreciated. I would like to have as least medical interventions as possible however while still in a hospital setting in case it is medically necessary to intervene.
