I am a single mom without the strong support of the babies father. I’m looking for someone to be ‘my person’ and advocate for me during birth. I am also a person who leans to the holistic side of things and am a big spiritual believer in Christ. I am only 14 weeks and am uneducated in birth so a doula would be helpful. Hypnobirthing knowledge is a plus or knowledge working with high risk( I have POTS) ask me questions !
In need of help once baby is born as I am not living with father and I have no family where I live.
-Extensive experience caring for newborns, especially the first 12 weeks. -Certified as a Newborn Care Specialist (NCS). -Current infant CPR and First Aid certification. -Up-to-date knowledge of safe sleep guidelines. -Feeding support (breastfed, bottle-fed, or combination). -Burping and soothing techniques. -Diapering and umbilical cord care. -Swaddling and recognizing newborn sleep cues. -Ability to identify when something isn't normal and communicate concerns promptly. -Comfortable bringing the baby to you for feedings. -Can handle diaper changes, burping, and settling afterward so you can get back to sleep. -Knowledgeable about pumping and breast milk storage.
Primary focus is a birth doula, but also interested in a night nanny. TBD on hospital, it will be in Henderson NV. My birth plan is to avoid unnecessary interventions, delayed cord clamping, immediate skin-to-skin. I plan to try labor without an epidural initially. Open to pain relief options if labor becomes too difficult. Also, prefer to push in positions other than flat on my back if possible.
