I am a trauma informed birth and postpartum doula here on the unceded traditional territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil- Waututh Nations (Lower Mainland, BC more precisely the Tri-Cities). I come from mixed Caribbean, Indigenous, and European heritage. Specifically, Jamaican and Matsqui First Nations, we are one of the 11 tribes that make up the Sto:lo Nation here locally in the Sumas Prairie (Abbotsford). I am proud to be dedicated to improving maternal and newborn care/support within my communities and beyond. I am a mother of 2 beautiful children. A wife to my amazing and supportive husband. A sister, daughter, godmother, and friend. I enjoy learning, growing and staying connected to what matters most. I am a certified birth doula. I have been in business for 9 years and have supported over 500 families. I specialize in high risk births including V-backs and multiples. I also enjoy low risk and out of hospital births. I love clinic births as well as home births. Some very special births have been both in and out of the hospital setting. I believe that birth is full of beautiful moments and each birth has a beauty of its own. I enjoy being part of each birth Story. Birth photography is included in each birth packet and each client gets a full birth story that is documented all along the way.
