I live in Ledyard, CT, but I plan to give birth at South County Hospital in Wakefield, RI. I am still working out the details of my birth plan, but I am hoping to have an unmedicated birth. This is my first baby, so someone knowledgeable about breastfeeding and establishing newborn sleep patterns would be appreciated. I have TriCare Prime.
Looking for postpartum support 3 days a week for a few hours, mainly mornings or afternoons. Need help with basic newborn care, light household support, and giving me time to shower, rest, or recharge. Flexible, nurturing, and experienced with newborn routines preferred.
I am planning to give birth at Backus Hospital. My birth plan includes having an epidural depending on pain levels- Although the less medical intervention, the better. I plan to breastfeed. No particular budget. I have Husky Health CT for insurance. I am seeking a birth doula and postpartum doula.
My insurance doesn't cover doulas and I was wondering how much your full service is from not until labor and delivery . I have a lot of anxiety regarding giving birth and it's my first child and just looking for someone to talk with me prior and be there for my fiancé and I during.

First time mom due in September (the 4th) seeking flexible postpartum support. Looking for an experienced newborn caregiver who can provide daytime or occasional overnight help after baby arrives. I'd like someone I can schedule as needed once I know what support feels most helpful. Primary needs are newborn care while I rest, shower, sleep or recover with light baby related household support as needed. Open to daytime or occasional overnight hours depending on what postpartum looks like. Schedule and hours are flexible and will depend on our family's needs, with the possibility of extending support beyond the immediate postpartum period (6-8 weeks) if it's a good fit.
Hospital Fully covered by insurance Need help during birth and postpartum
We are in the beginning phases and looking to see if a doula will be a good fit for our growing family. This is my first pregnancy. Looking for a doula with a medical background to help ‘ translate’ and provide explanations of the process, to make the experience more understandable. Looking for guidance on how to choose a OB/ hospital to give birth. In addition, providing guidance on a birth ‘plan’ that will be health for me and the baby. We are going to give birth in a hospital. We would like at least 5-7 years experience. Preferably a doula that can provide pre birth and postpartum support. Mental health check ins, nursing strategies, sleep training etc. the more medical/scientific a background the better to help bridge real life to medical knowledge.
Just found out my wife is pregnant she is either 3 weeks or 7 weeks. First ultrasound is scheduled for June 1st. We are Catholic and are interested in learning about natural birthing practices. Want to learn about doulas midwives and how to have either a home birth or a natural hospital birth. Want to learn about how I can advocate for my wife so we don’t get vaccinations and unnecessary procedures. We live in CT and plan to contact with Hartford hospital for our care. I make just under 3k a month with rent at 1250 every month.
My birth plan is focused on having an empowering, informed, and supported hospital experience. I value evidence-based care, informed consent, and having someone who can advocate for my preferences while helping me remain flexible if medical interventions become necessary. I am open to pain management options and would appreciate emotional support, comfort measures, guidance for my partner, and postpartum encouragement with newborn care and feeding. Care will primarily be for a newborn infant, including support with feeding, soothing techniques, and adjustment to life with a new baby. I also have an older child in the home. I would appreciate postpartum assistance that may include light household tasks related to the baby, such as washing bottles or pump parts, baby laundry, meal preparation, and helping create a calm recovery environment. Guidance on newborn sleep routines and general infant education would also be helpful.
I am researching for my son and his fiancée who came home from the hospital today with their baby boy and are exhausted and need support. They have United Health Care and live in Johnston RI. I am willing to help pay some of the cost.
I need someone to show me how to baby. I am so lost and no amount of Google or YouTube will help
This is my first pregnancy, so I’m looking for someone who can guide me and my partner through the process, be an expert sounding board, and to advise us. I have not confirmed just yet but will likely give birth at UMass Memorial in Worcester. My insurance Cigna covers Doula services so hoping to leverage this for payment. I ideally want a natural birth but want to connect with the doula for advice.
