Update: looking for an individual who accepts TRICARE, even if it’s not in network. Having baby 3 at Hartford Hospital, due 2/11. Have never had a doula before, but am a little worried my husband might be traveling for the birth! Looking for services to be completely covered by Tricare ideally. Birth plan is hoped to be similar to others - labor as long as I can and then get an epidural. Have not had a C-section and am not planning on it for this baby.

I ideally want a natural birth but want to connect with the doula for advice.

I am early on in navigating my first pregnancy. I will be giving birth at UMass Memorial in Worcester, but I live in Charlton, MA. I am interested in having a birth doula and ideally the same candidate to help when we transition to home life for a few hours. I’m interested in having an unmediated birth, however I am aware that reality might have a different thought. Movement is a necessity for me. I have a wonderful partner, and would like to complement my support team with someone who can help me transition through labor stages as well as navigate the relationship between doctors/nurses.
I live in Ledyard, CT, but I plan to give birth at South County Hospital in Wakefield, RI. I am still working out the details of my birth plan, but I am hoping to have an unmedicated birth.
