Hi, I’m a new mom with a 4-week-old and I’m looking for short-term postpartum support. I’m mainly looking for help with holding/soothing my baby so I can sleep and rest, including feeding support (bottle-fed breast milk/formula). I’m interested in starting with a short shift (3–4 hours) to see if it’s a good fit. Could you tell me about your experience with newborns and your availability?

I'm looking for a postpartum doula to assist with newborn care in my home, located in the Valley Stream/Malverne area of Long Island. Doula expenses will be covered under the Carrot program made available through my employer, so I would need to have our doula pre-approved by filling out a short questionnaire. I would be paying the doula directly and then submit any costs for reimbursement. I will be giving birth in the hospital and may require a C-section, so I would be looking for home assistance once we are discharged and return home. I plan to combo feed (breastfeed/pump/formula).
