I plan to have an unmedicated home water birth. I wish to give birth in a kneeling position in a birthing pool. I wish to have movement during labour and a calm environment with dim lighting. I only want fetal monitoring if my baby is in distress or if medically necessary. I do not wish to be offered pain medication. After the baby is born i do not want to cut the umbilical cord right away until I decide when the right time is to do so.

We live near Algonac, MI. I currently have an OB/GYN through Clinton Women's Health, they deliver out of Troy Corewell hospital. They don't offer midwife care but I would love the opportunity to have a birth coach and someone to go to for holistic things rather than your standard office visits. I would like an home waterbirth with providers who preferably accept insurance. I’m not sure of my budget yet. My birth plan which is subject to change: delayed cord clamping, natural birth no pain management, skin to skin for mom and dad for the first 60 minutes, no eye ointment, vit k drops instead of a shot.
