I plan to give birth at a hospital (at Multicare Capital Medical Center). My insurance covers $2000 for a doula. I do not know my birth plan yet.

I'm actually just looking for a midwife nurse to go to for a pap smear/annual appointment. I don't feel comfortable going to a traditional OB-GYN. I want to find someone who takes my insurance.

I am not sure yet. Just getting started, I have an appointment with my OB on September 28th for my first ultrasound. I just had my blood pregnancy test and my HCG is 7858, but the first day of my last period was July 27th, which would put me around 6 weeks and 4 days. I am going to be a single mom. I'm giving birth at home (Federal Way). It's my first baby. My care team so far consists of my husband, parents, and sisters. I am confident in my plan for an undisturbed physiological birth and so far have had a hard time finding a like-minded midwife or doula, but would love to be supported by a more knowledgeable and experienced woman. I would you labor and give birth in the comfort of my home in Winlock Washington. My insurance plan is through Aetna provided by my husbad who works for TransAlta. Our current plan does not cover homebirth and we are looking into upgrading our plan if the new plan will cover home birth. Out of Network coverage is 60% after meeting a $1,000 deductible.
