Hi there! I am a birth, and postpartum doula and I work to create a calm and safe space for you as you journey through pregnancy, birth and postpartum. I prioritize your empowered and informed decision making, always turning you back to yourself and your intuition and ensuring you have all the information you need and want. I work with a holistic, traditional and Islamic framework. I believe in bringing in your belief system as the primary anchor to guide you through this process and am able to offer this especially, however not limited, to Muslim clients. When not working you can find me taking a class, running the lake in Oakland, laying in the sun somewhere or hunting for a coffee or smoothie with friends and their littles.

Where do I even begin…. Imane is such a calm and peaceful presence. I only met her four hours before my baby was born — she was introduced to me by my original doula, who couldn’t attend because I was induced unexpectedly two weeks earlier than my due date. Even though we had just met, I immediately felt connected to her warm and positive energy. Inviting someone new into your birthing space isn’t an easy decision, but with Imane, it felt completely natural. She guided me through every contraction with such grace and reassurance that everything felt easier and more manageable. The name we had chosen for our son is Raihaan — and Imane happens to be the founder of “Rawh and Rayhan” same meaning different spelling. It felt like such a heavenly connection, as if things were meant to align that way. I am so grateful I said yes to having Imane step in. She made the birth of my second child feel calm, smooth, and truly special. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you, Imane! Forever grateful! 🤲🙏💕

I’ve been a doula since 2020 and truly believe that postpartum support is essential to the physical and emotional well-being of the newly expanded family. I’m a mom and midwifery student, so I have a unique set of skills when it comes to providing postpartum care. Whether it’s cooking, caring for your newborn, or cleaning — I am happy to be an extra set of hands for families who are in the tender phase of welcoming a brand new tiny human into their world.

My family was fortunate to have Alia as a student midwife and postpartum doula before, during, and after the birth of my second baby. In the prenatal appointments, Alia’s warm presence brought me joy and put me at ease. She is fun, yet gentle. She was eager to learn from our midwives and brought her own unique perspective from her experience. In a period of overwhelm, she offered to babysit our oldest to help provide moments of rest during the last months of my pregnancy. She went above and beyond. During the birth of my daughter, one of my midwives had Covid, and Alia rose to the occasion and was the midwife I needed during a home birth that was tiresome with 3 hours of pushing. Her calm confidence and warm nature helped carry me through the times that I felt like I couldn’t go on. As a postpartum doula, there was nothing that Alia wouldn’t do to help out. She is a baby whisperer and taught me many things for how to take care of our youngest. The greatest gift I got from working with Alia was developing a true and lasting friendship. She’s a special soul, and your life will be better just by knowing her.

Greetings & congratulations on your growing family <3 I have been a birth worker for the past ten years and have served families in a variety of locations, from a free standing birth center on the Arizona/Sonora border as an apprentice midwife, to home & hospital births all around the bay area. I approach this work from a place of trusting the mother/birthing person as an expert in their needs and experience and believing that given the right tools and support a family can advocate for the birth experience they want in any location. My approach is to prepare for labor with education in the prenatal period and work my clients to plan adequately for a postpartum that will nourish integration of this new phase of life. I also bring my background in holistic health and often refer clients to work with herbs, exercise and nutritional protocol to facilitate the experience they desire.

Ruta is an amazing doula to say the least. She services her community as if her very existence is because of doula work. She is passionate about what her client needs, wants, and desires; to create an outcome that supports healthy baby and birthing person. Her attention to detail is always felt with love and thoughtfulness. Having Ruta as your doula would be one of the greatest decisions you can make for your birthing moment.

Hi! I'm Priya! I provide infant and maternal occupational therapy in home (San Francisco, Marin, Bay Area California) or virtually. My areas of specialty are: whole body torticollis treatment, baby helmet prevention, plagiocephaly, functional oral-motor evaluations, oral-motor therapy, breastfeeding therapy, pre/post frenectomy/frenotomy care & rehabilitation. The services I provide to parents and babies fill the gaps in our current healthcare system that offers constant prenatal care for mom, but then drops the ball as soon as the baby arrives. Our system often fails mothers and infants in their 4th trimester and the 1st year of baby’s life. This can lead to stress, guilt, fear and late-night googling for answers. It’s my mission to save as many families as I can the stress that can come with having a new baby! And by the way, I will always address infant and maternal health together, because wellness for mom and baby are intertwined. When I was stressed out and confused about what next steps were, so was my baby. I help parents save time researching and worrying so that they can parent infants and toddlers with more confidence. Whether you want some help with tummy time, a little peace of mind or your child needs a Balanced Babies OT approach for a specific concern like a “flat head” spot, torticollis, difficulty breastfeeding due to oral dysfunction, TOTs (i.e. lip or tongue ties), reach out. Listen, it takes a village. Many of us don’t have our village (yet), or our villages are a plane ride away. Allow me to be part of your village so that you can spend less time worrying and more time showering, sleeping and connecting with your baby! So when that nagging feeling that something is not quite right won’t quit, trust your parent gut. You know your child best.

As a night postpartum doula, my approach centers on responsive care and fostering secure attachments. With over 8 years of professional childcare experience, I bring a unique blend of warmth, expertise, and a deep understanding of family dynamics to every home I support. My journey began in a bustling diverse household (Filipina immigrant mama & American dad with Chinese, European, and Spanish roots) as the third eldest of eight, where I naturally became my mother’s helper. This early immersion in childcare instilled in me a profound comfort around infants and children. Today, I draw on this foundation to provide families with compassionate, responsive care that prioritizes the emotional and physical well-being of both parents and babies. I believe that by responding promptly and sensitively to a baby's needs, we lay the groundwork for secure attachments, fostering a nurturing environment where both babies and parents can thrive.

You need her! We couldn’t have made it without Briana. Her level of broad expertise is unmatched. Any parents fortunate enough to access her knowledge and care are truly lucky. Parents book her months in advance because she’s so in demand, and we were honored to see her practice her craft. Briana was everything we needed as we stepped into parenthood. She has a wonderful and calming presence that fills the room. Our baby adored her and always felt warm and safe in her arms. She assisted my wife with bottle feeding, sleep habits, positive attachments, laundry, cleaning bottles and pumps, breastfeeding, and provided excellent lactation resources. She was there for both the rough and good nights, always maintaining a positive attitude and a “let’s do it” mindset, without a hint of judgment. As a dad, whenever I had questions on how to support my wife, Briana always answered and reassured me that I was doing everything right and more as a father. Parenthood is not easy, and Briana was our village to get through it. So no, I am not going to justify her rate. She is a Rolls Royce, and a Rolls Royce don’t explain themselves.
