I'm seeking a certified dealer that can be able to support my partner and I as we are preparing for our first pregnancy. I am already two months along.

I would prefer to give birth at home or in a birth center and have it be as natural as possible. I am open to going to a hospital but I want to make sure that I stick to my birth plan and don’t get sidetracked or disrespected because I’ve heard a lot of stories where they induce, medicate and take the babies away etc and I don’t want any part of that. I also want to keep my placenta and umbilical cord making sure it doesn’t get cut right away. I don’t want to be medicated and I want a natural vaginal birth.. I’m a little nervous because I have dealt with medical issues in the past but I don’t think I’m a high risk pregnancy I mean I’m about to be 13 weeks now and I feel pretty good and my obgyn hasn’t flagged anything or expressed any worries to me so I think I should be good. I’m not sure about my budget I don’t know at this point but I’m honestly more open to the connection I have with someone because this is my first baby and I’m very excited but also overwhelmed at a lot of this. I just want to make sure I don’t negatively impact the life of a human being. I am a certified doula and nanny but it’s completely different being on this side of it I feel absolutely lost and like I know nothing. And everything online just bombards me with information and then I go down rabbit holes and freak myself out. So I feel like I just need to talk to a woman that relates, understands what I’m going through and can be supportive, compassionate and informative.

I plan on giving birth at a hospital. I am looking for a lactation consultant who is covered under my insurance.

Planning to give birth to my third baby at trinity health muskegon. Would like birth support for extra advocacy, postpartum support as I'm a graduate student, and need lactation support as I had failed exclusively breast feeding with my first two despite wanting to breast feed. I'm currently unsure of budget. I go with the flow in terms of birth. I had epidurals the first two times but would prefer not to. I'm not opposed to an epidural but would prefer to give birth pain medication free. I want my baby to receive vitamin k, b, and erythromycin, I want the baby to stay in the room with me at all times unless medically necessary, and want the cord delayed clamping until the cord is white. Currently working through making my birth plan and adding things as I decide upon them. Thank you for reading.

Hello. I just had my third baby January 5th. He was in the nicu for 2.5 weeks, so he was fed expressed breastmilk and nursed while i visited him. He’s been home for over a week now and we are struggling mastering the perfect latch. I’m in serious pain half the time. Based on my knowledge/experience with my other two kiddos, my baby has a tongue tie and I suspect that is part of the issue. He is scheduled to get that evaluated on February 9th. But in the meantime, I would really like to meet with an LC to help us and if we go through with a tie release, I feel I need some guidance there too. With my first child, I decided to exclusively pump right off the bat. With my second, I pumped and nursed. But with this baby, I would really prefer to nurse more than pump, but unfortunately right now I’m pumping more because of the pain. I have horizon nj health insurance and really need to find a LC who can take my insurance. Thank you!

I would like more info on having a home birth. Our budget is tight, and I’m not sure what “rates” are for home birth deliveries. I’ve always been on the fence about home births, but our current insurance (husband’s) is extremely expensive for what we can afford. Also, I am considered high risk due to my weight, but so far no concerns with the baby otherwise. This is my second pregnancy, and in the last week (around 38-39 weeks) I was diagnosed with gestational hypertension. Otherwise I had a healthy first pregnancy, and so far this pregnancy is healthy as well.
