I am planning to give birth at Kaiser South Bay Harbor City. I would like to labor at home with my partner and the doula for as long as possible until it’s time to go to the hospital. I am open to an epidural at the hospital but if I’m doing okay or labor is progressing quickly I am open to not getting one. I hope for an uncomplicated vaginal birth. I’d like the doula to know the difference between interventions that might be offered to me at the hospital that are not necessary and what is necessary/ will help my baby to be born healthy.
