We plan to give birth at a hospital (Kaiser in Redwood City). I'm looking for options that will be 100% covered by our Kaiser health insurance. My birth plan is flexible. Ideally I would prefer an unmedicated VBAC birth, but is flexible if induction or C-section is required. Would be helpful to have a doula that is also well-versed in sleep training. I am in need of a doula to guide myself and my husband, Shaheen, through the pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum period (including breastfeeding). We are hoping you can provide us with specific, actionable ways for Shaheen to support me during pregnancy, especially during labor, and during the postpartum period. I hope to labor at home as long as possible, avoid the epidural if possible, and I really would like to avoid a C-section. I am eager to learn about natural birthing techniques and positions that work with my body and gravity. I am giving birth at a hospital and would like to have a natural birth without an epidural if possible. I want to have the freedom to move around and walk, stretch, shower to distract my mind versus being stuck to the bed after a shot.
