What's the Cost of Hiring a Night Nanny in Puyallup, WA?

The cost of a night nanny in Puyallup, WA can vary depending on the specific services provided and the experience of the nanny. On average, night nannies in Puyallup may charge anywhere from $20 to $40 per hour. It is best to contact individual night nannies in the area to inquire about their specific rates and services.

The cost of a night nanny in Puyallup, WA can be influenced by several factors:

  • Experience and Qualifications

Nannies with extensive experience, certifications (e.g., newborn care specialist), or specific training often charge higher rates.

  • Number of Babies

Caring for twins or multiples typically costs more than caring for a single baby due to the increased workload.

  • Hours and Duration

Rates may vary depending on the number of hours per night, the total number of nights required, and whether the arrangement is short-term or long-term.

  • Duties and Responsibilities

Additional responsibilities, such as bottle preparation, light housekeeping, or sleep training, can increase the cost.

  • Time of Year

Demand during peak times, like the holiday season, may drive prices higher.

  • Agency Fees

Hiring through an agency often includes placement fees or additional charges for their services, adding to the overall cost.

  • Overnight Rates vs. Hourly Rates

Some nannies charge a flat overnight rate, while others charge hourly, which can influence costs depending on the length of the shift.

When considering hiring a night nanny in Puyallup, WA, it's advisable to research and interview several night nannies to find one who aligns with your preferences, needs, and budget. During consultations, you can discuss their specific services and pricing structure to ensure you have a clear understanding of what is included and the associated costs. This process will help you find a night nanny who meets your needs and fits within your budget.

Melanie Guymon is a superb doula. She spent nights with our little bub for 2+months, she gave us a reprieve and support during the difficult newborn days hard. We had a colicky baby and Melanie not only helped us advocate to our doctors that our baby might have reflux, but she also gave us superb tips on how to help ease her discomfort at night and during the day.  During her time with us Melanie also helped us prepare our baby to move out of the swaddle, and due to her tips, our baby seamlessly transitioned from her Snoo + bassinet and into her crib and a sleep sack. She continued to support us with sleep coaching as well, helping us with our babies sleep schedule, which has allowed our baby to sleep better than all of our other baby friends in a similar age range. We had Melanie start with us around the 6 week mark due to our postpartum schedule, and she was with us until just under 4 months. We could not have done this journey without her.

My experience with Bridgette was fantastic. My main reason for using a doula was I wanted someone in the birth room to be a fierce advocate while I was medicated and in pain and unable to advocate for myself. She was that and so much more. I had to push for 4 hours to get my little one out after already being in labor for 18 hours. The doctor said I was close to needing the vacuum to get her out and I credit Bridgette's knowledge, encouragement of frequent position changes while pushing and encouragement to keep hydrated and nourished with clear liquids to why I was able to get my little one out without the vacuum. Another thing that was a great help was giving my overwhelmed partner guidance on the best ways of helping me and keeping him calm and involved in a stressful situation. In addition to that she got the BEST pictures of the delivery while respecting the fact I didn't want any from the angle you could see my more intimate areas. I'll cherish those pictures forever. My birth was a beautiful wonderful experience. I have to credit part of it to luck but the majority of it to Bridgette.

I’m a DONA-trained birth and postpartum doula who blends city grit with grounded, nature-rooted care. My journey began by supporting friends through birth and postpartum while navigating the unpredictable life of a military family. A path that taught me flexibility, compassion, and a deep respect for the strength of parents. Before becoming a doula, I worked as a corrections officer, where I learned to stay calm under pressure and advocate fiercely for others. Today, I bring that same steady confidence to the families I serve through pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood. Once a city girl and now deeply connected to nature, I offer a balance of strength and softness in my work as a birth and postpartum doula, infant sleep consultant, and placenta encapsulation specialist. I also provide traditional belly binding support to promote healing, grounding, and body awareness during the postpartum transition. As a mom to two spirited boys and two lovable fur babies, I know firsthand how messy, magical, and transformative those early days can be. My goal is to walk beside you with knowledge, warmth, and zero judgment. Whether you’re preparing for birth, navigating postpartum recovery, supporting your body’s healing journey, or finding rhythm and rest with your newborn. I’m honored to support families through every layer of this season- body, mind, and heart.

I can't say enough good things about Lindzee! I hired her as a postpartum doula after I had a bad experience with my birth doula who never even followed up for my postpartum care. Lindzee was like a little fairy doula. Every time I turned around my water cup was refilled or something was done I didn't even think to ask her to do. It was amazing. She did day and night shifts in the first month. She was extremely helpful. I even used her again for one night when my daughter was 5 months old and went through a sleep regression. It was so refreshing and helpful compared to my bad doula experience. I highly recommend her!
