Good morning, I am looking for a midwife to do a home birth. We do not have a budget at this time, but are wanting to use our insurance which is Cigna. I will need some guidance with my birth plan but as of now I know I want to do a home, unmediated birth.

Hospital with minimum/ low interventions. No birth plan yet and budget of $1500

I am unsure of what I need. I am still trying to figure this out. I'll revisit the budget and stuff soon.

Doula for hospital birth (medicated vaginal delivery is the goal)

I am a first time mother looking for support on what to expect before/during/after delivery. I plan to deliver at Methodist Mansfield Medical Center, where I actually work as a nurse. This is also my boyfriend’s first child and I want him to feel supported and know how to support me too. Ideally, we would want vaginal delivery but I am diabetic and know that babies may be larger, so I am not entirely against a c-section if that is the safest option. I do plan on having an epidural regardless but would like to incorporate other pain relief methods. I would like to create a calm environment in the delivery room. I also plan to breast feed post-birth.

I am wanting to birth at a birthing center and they require a doula for the attendance of the birth. We are spending a lot on the birthing center so we would like someone not as expensive.

I currently have an OBGYN that does accept my medicaid. I had a c section with my daughter in 2022, and I really want to try for a vaginal birth. My OBGYN and I are not connecting as I would like and I did more research and feel better finding a mid wife or doula that I can connect with and listen to my wants and needs. I appreciate it! I plan on giving birth in a hospital setting. have medicaid health insurance. I believe its a cooks childrens plan but I would need to double check.

I will give birth at Texas Health Harris Downtown Fort Worth. I will need help with breastfeeding afterwards too. If they specialize in VBACs, that would be great!

I came across your profile and wanted to reach out because I'm currently looking for a birth doula. I wanted to see if you participate in the TRICARE Childbirth and Breastfeeding Support Demonstration. From my understanding, TRICARE covers up to 6 hours of antepartum and/or postpartum doula visits (which can be divided into 15-minute increments however we'd like), along with one continuous labor support visit during the birth. I also understand that, to be eligible for TRICARE coverage, doulas must be certified through one of TRICARE's approved certifying organizations (such as DONA International) and have an active National Provider Identifier (NPI) for billing. Are you certified through a TRICARE-approved organization and do you have an active NPI? If so, I'd love to learn more about your services, your availability around my October due date, what your birth support includes, and how the TRICARE billing process works. Since this is our first baby, I'm hoping to find a calm, supportive doula who has experience working with first-time moms and who works well alongside my husband, as he'll be my primary support person during labor. I am planning to have an unmedicated water birth at the Fort Worth Birthing Center. My budget for a doula is around $1,000 I’m currently creating my birth plan, and since this is my first pregnancy, I would really appreciate a doula who can help guide and educate me throughout the preparation process. I want to feel physically, mentally, and emotionally prepared for birth. I plan to breastfeed, but I’m not interested in direct latching. I would prefer to exclusively pump and would love support and guidance with establishing a successful pumping routine after birth. I’m 24 years old, engaged, and blessed to have a great support system around me. What I’m looking for most in a doula is someone who can help prepare me for the physical aspects of an unmedicated birth, provide encouragement and reassurance throughout labor, and help me feel confident in my body and my ability to give birth. My faith is also very important to me. I am a firm believer in Jesus Christ, and I would love to have a doula who is comfortable incorporating prayer, scripture, and faith-based encouragement into my birth experience. I want the atmosphere surrounding my labor and birth to feel peaceful, supportive, and centered around God. Ultimately, I’m looking for someone who will support me, encourage me, help me advocate for myself, and make me feel safe and confident throughout this experience

We're expecting our first child, a daughter, on November 6th, and we're currently at 25 weeks. We'll be delivering at Texas Health Harris Methodist Southwest in Fort Worth with Dr. Stacy Butler, so experience at that specific hospital is a plus. The main reason we want a doula is that I will be my wife's only support person in the room. We don't have family nearby and aren't planning to have anyone else at the birth, so we're looking for someone who can provide continuous support through a long labor and give me a chance to eat and rest without leaving my wife alone. Reliable backup coverage matters to us for the same reason. A few things that are important to us: My wife wants to keep her options open on pain management, including an epidural. We're looking for someone who will support whatever she decides in the moment rather than steering her toward or away from any particular kind of birth. We are formula feeding exclusively and have already made that decision, so we'd like a doula who is comfortable with that and won't push breastfeeding. We are not religious. We don't mind if a doula is personally religious, but we would prefer that faith, prayer, or scripture not be part of our birth experience. We're also interested in hands-on preparation. Childbirth education as part of a package is something we'd consider. Having birth doula, postpartum doula, as well as night services available from the same provider is a plus. We'd like to book within the next few weeks and are flexible on scheduling consultations, including evenings and weekends.
