I plan to give birth at Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center and I am wanting to have a natural birth so I would like birth support while in the hospital and education for my husband and I. Our budget is $3,000 but may be flexible depending on services provided. I would like an unmediated vaginal birth with minimal medical intervention. I do not wish to have a hospital birth but our living circumstances do not allow us to have a home birth. So I’d like to have as much of a peaceful, calm, warm birth experience in the hospital as possible. I want my husband and support doula present. I want to breastfeed exclusively as soon as possible, delayed cord clamping, and delayed first bath. I’m open to suggestions as I learn more about labor and delivery as well.
