My insurance requires me to birth at Virginia Hospital Center and I've always been the kind of person to put half my trust in medical science and half my trust in holistic belief, I want to do everything I can to train my body and mind to be ready for the beautiful journey of childbirth. I want to build an ideal birth plan and have a doula that can help me Advocate it when I am in the zone during labor. Some goals i'd like to learn more about: Interested in alternative birthing positions like squatting or knees, might not want an epidural, Up to 40min delayed chord clamping, no wiping off the vernix.

I’m really nervous about labor and delivery. I want an epidural and am good with medical intervention. I’m nervous that my husband won’t be calm during the birthing process. I need someone who can help me be calm through it and help coach my husband through it. I also am nervous about being very vulnerable during birth and consent is very important for me and want to make sure I feel comfortable and not taken advantage of.
