First baby, I’m 38. Both my partner and I are clueless. Looking for support and help deciding our birth plan and how to make our small apartment work for bringing baby home.

We're a queer couple and this is a first pregnancy. We struggled with infertility and IVF and have had some trauma from that and some scares in early pregnancy. The gestational parent is a crunchy, spiritual, earth mama and the non gestational parent is an analytical physician with a big heart. Most important to us: we're seeking a doula with an evidence-based approach. We both like data and research to weigh our options. If the stars align, we're aiming for a non medicated, vaginal birth at Sentara Leigh. Our budget is flexible. We are hoping to use Tricare Select but finding the right doula is a priority over insurance and cost.

Hi there! I am due for my fourth baby at the end of December/beginning of January. I will be doing a homebirth and just moved here from Oregon. All of my laborers and deliveries have been fairly quick and uncomplicated. I would love to know if you were available for my time frame of needing a doula. I prefer Doula who has familiarity with massage during labor, can braid hair (having my hair done is an oxytocin release), and can be flexible while also assertive during my labor.

I am due with my second baby on May 6th 2027. I am 36 years old- my first was born in 2019, during delivery I felt ill prepared and ended up having a disappointing experience. I would like to work with someone that can help me through labor and leading up to. I plan to give birth at Norfolk general hospital, I do have Tricare insurance which they said they have some doulas who they approve. I would like to do as natural of birth as possible.

Planning to give birth at a birth center. I am looking for a doula to help support this unmedicated birth. This is my 6th pregnancy/5th birth but the first one planned for out of hospital. I have Tricare and am looking for someone who works with them since my budget is limited.

Second baby due mid-October. Toddler will be in daycare. My husband will be home with me the first month or so, so looking for a daytime, postpartum doula two or three days a week for 3 hours at a time starting in mid/late November for one month or so. Budget is around $40/hour. Hoping for help with newborn care in addition to laundry and general tidying of living space. We have house cleaners every two weeks - just need help with picking up/tidying the toddler craziness in between.

I am pregnant with my 2nd baby. My first baby I was induced & labored for 36 hours & had an emergency c-section. My son had a heart arrhythmia in utero & labor was too much on his heart. My doctor said it was only due to his heart that I had a c-section. I will be 21 months post partum when I have my next baby. I am delivering at Chesapeake Regional Hospital. I have Tricare Select.

I’m not really sure I’m wanting someone other than doctors there that can help me process through everything in the best, natural, educational way possible if they makes sense?
