I’m really nervous about labor and delivery. I want an epidural and am good with medical intervention. I’m nervous that my husband won’t be calm during the birthing process. I need someone who can help me be calm through it and help coach my husband through it. I also am nervous about being very vulnerable during birth and consent is very important for me and want to make sure I feel comfortable and not taken advantage of. We’re moving midway through the pregnancy to the DC region, Maryland side. We’ll probably live in the Rockville area but I’m hoping to give birth with the midwives at George Washington University’s hospital. I’m looking for a labor doula to support an unmediated birth. I also struggled with low supply with my first child so I’m hoping to find a lactation consultant who specialises in that. We have Tricare, which covers both doulas and IBCLCs.

I am looking for a doula to have guidance on having a mother vaginal birth following a cesarean birth from my last pregnancy. I want to avoid that happening again and especially avoid that healing process I had to go through with my little boy.

Newborn mom need help with latching and nipple pain

Help with breastfeeding. Baby is not staying latched. Might be milk transferring issues. Will latch in the morning but struggles in the afternoon. Would love to be able to exclusively breastfeed. I like to be very hands on and prefer someone who is okay taking the backseat or driving so to speak, whenever I express so. If out of pocket, I’d like to stay close to $4,000 for prenatal care and birth. I’d like a person who is knowledgeable in breastfeeding and who can assist immediately after birth or direct me to someone who can.
