Giving birth in a hospital - looking for someone who can provide birth support, lactation consulting, and post-partum support if possible.

I need a birth doula for sure. I plan to give birth at Sibley hospital in DC. Budget is negotiable, although I'd like to stay under $2,000 if possible. I would like someone with at least 5 years' experience. I'm a 46-year-old first-time mom. My insurance provider is Carefirst BCBS. Doulas are a covered benefit. I have a BluePreferred PPO plan. I'd also like information about lactation consultants and night nannies. Thank you!

I’m really nervous about labor and delivery. I want an epidural and am good with medical intervention. I’m nervous that my husband won’t be calm during the birthing process. I need someone who can help me be calm through it and help coach my husband through it. I also am nervous about being very vulnerable during birth and consent is very important for me and want to make sure I feel comfortable and not taken advantage of. I like to be very hands on and prefer someone who is okay taking the backseat or driving so to speak, whenever I express so. I want to avoid a hospital birth but if it’s necessary I’m willing to listen to the advice of a midwife but if I am uncomfortable with something I will say so. I prefer someone who has attended and assisted many births, at least 200. I’d like to find a birth center or in home midwife that can be covered or partially covered by Medicaid and I have anthem health keepers plus. If out of pocket, I’d like to stay close to $4,000 for prenatal care and birth. I’d like a person who is knowledgeable in breastfeeding and who can assist immediately after birth or direct me to someone who can.

I had to supplement with formula for a few days while in the hospital. I think my baby is experiencing nipple confusion and I would like some tips to get him back to latching on the breast as my milk has begun to come in.

I am 26 years old and this is my first child so I would like someone to just give me advice and basically be there for me through this journey. I would like to give birth at a birthing center close to a hospital if I need to go to it, but I am not opposed to going to the hospital I just don't want to have the baby on my back. My budget is under $2,000 preferably. I also would like to try and breast feed to know what drinks or food I can intake now to help with that. I am also a picky eater so helping me come up with a balanced diet would also be a great help as well. I just would like to prep on what I should be doing each month and things I need to order so that I can already have it before the baby comes.
