Our two daughters will be 1 and 8 years old at the time of birth.

I am pregnant with my second child, with a due date of December 14, 2026, and plan to give birth at Mary Immaculate Hospital. I am looking for a supportive, experienced doula who accepts Virginia Medicaid and can provide prenatal, labor/birth, and postpartum support. I am interested in having a calm, supportive birth experience with a natural birth, and would appreciate guidance with comfort measures, breathing techniques, labor positioning, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery. I would prefer a Black/African American female doula if possible and would like someone who serves the Hampton/Newport News area and can provide in-person labor support.

I have a question due to my first pregnancy was a c-section and my second pregnancy was a horrible experience where I requested a c-section would it be carry for me to want a try for a natural birth my first pregnancy I dilated 4 1/2 centimeter before I had [personal details hidden] but my second I was dilated 1 and contractions were back to back but no assistance with breaking water or stripping cervix nor would they let me walk the halls due to my doctor was not there. I just want to know where I stand with all my options before I get boxed in with my doctor I have now who says no but I have no health issues nor was I told this is a high risk pregnancy but I will say I’ll be [personal details hidden] in august before I deliver

2nd baby, hospital birth, moving to tricare select so we can have doula care covered as well as deliver in a civilian hospital. We will be looking into switching OB care to deliver at Sentara Leigh. My first birth experience was stressful in the military hospital and we felt unsupported.

I have been doing extensive research on birth plans, and know that I want to have delayed cord clamping and immediate skin to skin. I'd like to have help with additional information on my birth plan. I am also very interested in encapsulating my placenta as well and taking it in pill form. I do not mind if this is in person or virtual, though it would be nice to have photos taken of my husband and I while giving birth. I am new to this and would love to have someone who is sweet and understanding. My husband and I are extremely excited. I wish I knew about this sooner!

Hi there! I am due for my fourth baby at the end of December/beginning of January. I will be doing a homebirth and just moved here from Oregon. All of [personal details hidden]. I prefer Doula who has familiarity with massage during labor, can braid hair (having my hair done is an oxytocin release), and can be flexible while also assertive during my labor.
