I am pregnant with my second child, with a due date of December 14, 2026, and plan to give birth at Mary Immaculate Hospital. I am looking for a supportive, experienced doula who accepts Virginia Medicaid and can provide prenatal, labor/birth, and postpartum support. I am interested in having a calm, supportive birth experience with a natural birth, and would appreciate guidance with comfort measures, breathing techniques, labor positioning, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery. I would prefer a Black/African American female doula if possible and would like someone who serves the Hampton/Newport News area and can provide in-person labor support.

As of right now our baby is due April 28th we live in Hampton and will most likely be having the baby at Norfolk general hospital due to being [personal details hidden]. We are a [personal details hidden] with no support system and are looking for a dual to join our journey. We would love to find someone who offers sibling dual support as well as lactation support. Our two daughters will be 1 and 8 years old at the time of birth.

I am already very far along in my pregnancy (37 weeks on 11/05). I need help with lactation and I am hoping to be able to breast feed as long as my supply allows me. I am a military spouse away from family. I am giving birth at Sentara Leigh in Norfolk Virginia, and currently attending my appointments at Women Care Centers. I have been doing extensive research on birth plans, and know that I want to have delayed cord clamping and immediate skin to skin. I'd like to have help with additional information on my birth plan. I am also very interested in encapsulating my placenta as well and taking it in pill form. I do not mind if this is in person or virtual, though it would be nice to have photos taken of my husband and I while giving birth. I am new to this and would love to have someone who is sweet and understanding. My husband and I are extremely excited. I wish I knew about this sooner!

I plan to have a hospital birth using nitrous oxide, possibly an epidural if I really feel the need. My husband and I are Christians so it is important that we have someone who will respect our faith work with us. Our estimated budget is less than $1000.
