This is my second baby and I am having trouble breaking him and sometimes he makes these weird noise when drinking from a bottle or latching onto me. He also after burping he will spit up a couple times and sometimes even choke more than once after burping.

This will be my second home water birth. I plan to have my baby naturally and unmedicated. I like to be very hands on and prefer someone who is okay taking the backseat or driving so to speak, whenever I express so. I want to avoid a hospital birth but if it’s necessary I’m willing to listen to the advice of a midwife but if I am uncomfortable with something I will say so. I prefer someone who has attended and assisted many births, at least 200. I’d like to find a birth center or in home midwife that can be covered or partially covered by Medicaid and I have anthem health keepers plus. If out of pocket, I’d like to stay close to $4,000 for prenatal care and birth. I’d like a person who is knowledgeable in breastfeeding and who can assist immediately after birth or direct me to someone who can.

I had a c section in Sept of 2024 and want to try for a vbac this time around. I plan to give birth at Prince William hospital UVA. We’re moving midway through the pregnancy to the DC region, Maryland side. We’ll probably live in the Rockville area but I’m hoping to give birth with the midwives at George Washington University’s hospital. I’m looking for a labor doula to support an unmediated birth. I have a flat (soft) nipple, I can't get the baby to latch on properly, and I'm in a lot of pain.

Second baby due in September. With my first born (dec 2024) I could only successfully latch him for a few days, after returning from the hospital we used the nipple shield to help him latch and used it for a month before completely switching to exclusively pumping. Continued to pump for 10 months before milk slowly dried out. I want to be prepared this time on how to get baby to latch especially if I want to combo feed breastmilk through pumping and through breastfeeding.
