My newborn is 5 days old. Her latch was terrible at the hospital and caused sore nipples. Were day 5 and I have tiny little blisters. She seems to latch well at first, then it gets shallow and my nipple comes out like lipstick. I’m currently pumping in lieu and feeding formula, but I’d love to fix her latch and get her back on the breast asap! Please help. Would love in person visit if possible and hopefully covered by my insurance.

While in the hospital, I noticed the Medela yielded more output. I’m not sure if my flange size is correct for both pumps. Any help would be appreciated!

This will be my second home water birth. I plan to have my baby naturally and unmedicated. I like to be very hands on and prefer someone who is okay taking the backseat or driving so to speak, whenever I express so. I want to avoid a hospital birth but if it’s necessary I’m willing to listen to the advice of a midwife but if I am uncomfortable with something I will say so. I prefer someone who has attended and assisted many births, at least 200. I’d like to find a birth center or in home midwife that can be covered or partially covered by Medicaid and I have anthem health keepers plus. If out of pocket, I’d like to stay close to $4,000 for prenatal care and birth. I’d like a person who is knowledgeable in breastfeeding and who can assist immediately after birth or direct me to someone who can.

I have a 11 week old that is having trouble with a weak latch ok the breast and weak oral function. She’s had a tongue tie release at 5 weeks. I also have low milk supply and have tried it all to try to increase it. I would like to still give breastfeeding and pumping a shot as long as I’m able to, with hopes of improving her latch.

Hello, I am interested in receiving support for my daughter’s latch. She is my second breastfed baby; she has a tongue tie we have been able to get her latch to where she is no longer causing me pain. However she is sucking in a lot of air while she nurses and it is causing her discomfort later with gas and burps I can’t get out of her.

Would love in-home visits in November. Especially help with breast feeding.

First baby, hospital birth at Georgetown. Would like to labor naturally as long as possible but I am not totally against pain relief. Would love a doula who can support me in different positioning, hip squeezes etc and help me exercise my full agency during birth. It’s important to me to find someone who is a blend of holistic care and Western medicine. We’d also love for our doula to help us a bit after birth with postpartum and newborn care. Tri-Care East (Humana military) will cover the six hours worth of visits + one untimed visit for birth so we need someone who is a participant with them. After that our budget for postpartum/newborn support is $1,000 but we are open to discussing that further.

My nipples are very elastic, I eventually get numb with multiple flange styles, milk stops flowing unless I use very firm breast compression, and my daily output has fallen despite frequent pumping. Baby hasn’t latched since the first couple weeks.
