I want vaginal birth as much as possible unless there are absolute necessary conditions/complications that require a C-section. I don't want induction unless it's absolutely necessary. I want an epidural and also open to try other pain relieving methods but that doesn't mean I don't want epidural.

Hi there! We have a 3 month old boy and currently are using a newborn care specialist overnight 7 nights a week. Her contract is up and of September and she is unable to extend. We are looking for someone who can watch him overnight in October until we are comfortable starting sleep training. We’re looking for an experienced overnight newborn care provider for the first 1–2 months postpartum. Ideally, we’d like someone with both NCS experience and postpartum doula credentials. A formal postpartum doula certification is strongly preferred for possible reimbursement through Carrot, Anthem Blue Cross PPO, or Progyny. Our main need is overnight newborn care, not cooking or housekeeping. My parents will help with meals. Responsibilities would include feeding support, bringing baby to me for breastfeeding, burping, diaper changes, soothing, safely settling baby back to sleep, bottle/pump-part cleaning, and tracking feeds, diapers, and sleep. Mandarin is preferred, but English-only is completely fine for the right candidate. We strongly prefer someone who has cared for 15+ newborns, with substantial recent experience with babies 0–12 weeks old. Infant CPR/First Aid, strong references, and adherence to current AAP safe sleep guidelines are required. We prefer a responsive, evidence-based approach and no cry-it-out sleep training for a young newborn. Please share your credentials, approximate number of newborns you’ve cared for, overnight availability, rate, minimum booking requirements, and whether you can provide documentation for insurance/benefit reimbursement.

Looking for a birth doula that is fully covered by my Kaiser Norcal plan. I am being induced soon -- 10/1/26 (39 weeks) -- at Kaiser Redwood City but just learned that health insurance now covers doulas so am a bit behind. I will use the birth plan from my first child as a rough guide but I know that it can all quickly go out the door as it did with him. My intention is to deliver vaginally and get an epidural.

Twin girls with scheduled C-Section at 37 weeks due around 10/20/26 (always a possibility that they may debut earlier). We (my husband and I) are looking for a night doula to help with night feedings/care for 4-5 nights/week for the first 8 weeks the girls are home (possibly will extend longer than 8 weeks). We have a 4 year old son as well, who is in preschool from 9-5:30pm 5 days per week, and my mother (who is a retired nicu nurse and lactation consultant) will likely be staying with us for at least a week or two to help during the day. I do not plan to exclusively breastfeed, and the girls will be getting primarily formula (and/or pumped milk) at night. Our house has the ideal set up, with the bedrooms all located in the back of the house (can be closed off with pocket door), leaving the whole front of the house (kitchen, laundry room, living room/tv room x2, private bathroom x2, and office/den which can be closed off) for the doula and the girls at night (plan to set up bassinets with changing table). We live in Walnut Creek, around 2 miles from downtown, up in the hills past the Bart Station in an area called “secluded valley” (which is right on the border of WC and lafayette, with most of our HOA and neighboring streets technically being in Lafayette). Price wise, we were hoping to keep the total cost around $2,000-2,500 per week (for 4-5 nights/week, shifts 8-10 hours/night, for at least 8 weeks immediately after birth), which is where the flexibility comes in the number of nights and shift length. Basically trying to keep our sanity, and allocate time for everyone to get much needed sleep when the girls arrive home. I will also be recovering from c-section during this time, and will need the extra rest.
