My journey as a doula began after years working as a nurse and witnessing how powerful support can be during birth. Becoming a doula allowed me to bring my passion for nursing back to life here in the U.S., after years of working as a nanny, and to continue caring for families in such a meaningful way.

Originally from Liverpool, England and now living in Marin County, California, I am the mum of 6 beautiful children and a grandma to one. Each and every birth was unique, whether it was at home, a birthing centre, or in a hospital. The level of prenatal and postpartum care I received, definitely impacted my birth experience and I really feel every mum should feel safe and in control of her choices, as much as she can when she is going through one of the most unique and special moments in their life. I love supporting other parents on their journey, whether it be for advice, support or just to chat about what's to come. Feeling prepared makes for a much easier birth journey :) I trained with Doula Trainings international as a birth and postpartum doula. I have been a volunteer with the Postpartum Support Center through the Marin Diaper Bank and now as a facilitator for the ROSE program. When not supporting families you will find me looking after my granddaughter, walking my dog, hiking, or enjoying friend and family time.

Chelsey is professionally trained and certified as a birth + postpartum doula as well as an infant feeding specialist. As the mother of her own two children and an active member of her local Marin parenting community, Chelsey intimately knows how very different each birth and baby can be. She has a passion for the empowerment of birthing people and aims to reduces fear and instill strength in all the families that she serves. As the labor and birth process unfolds, Chelsey’s priority is in providing her clients with the unbiased, evidence-based guidance and support they need.

Davon Crawford is a certified full spectrum doula who provides spiritual, herbal, and energetic ceremony for women before, during, and just after pregnancy and birth. As a mother of four, Davon understands that pregnancy and birth is a sacred voyage that requires self love, fearless introspection, and focused strength in order to discover new possibilities in and through motherhood. Passionate about holistic healing, Davon understands that her purpose as your support partner is to empower your mind, cultivate your spirit, and enlighten your birth journey by holding space for you and your partner throughout your birth and postpartum experience.

Taylor is a Doula, Placenta Encapsulator, and Student Midwife serving families in the San Francisco Bay Area. Working with children for over a decade as a nanny, she has always had a passion for supporting families. After attending her first birth in 2016, she discovered that she had a deep calling to join the Birth World. She completed her Birth Doula training at Natural Resources in 2019. Taylor is currently serving her community as a Doula and Placenta Encapsulator and is a Student Midwife at National Midwifery Institute, studying under the well-loved community midwife, Michelle Welborn, CPM. Taylor has a calm, “can do” attitude and loves to help you explore all your options during pregnancy and birth. She believes that births are best supported by listening to your body and creating an environment filled with love, trust, connection, and calm. In her free time she loves spending time with her sweet daughter, Magnolia, her orange tabby cat, Max, her loving and supportive husband, Sean, her two adorable nieces, and her wonderful and inspiring siblings. Taylor also has a passion for yoga, rollerblading, and foraging, growing, and learning about mushrooms. Her happy place is the beach.

For as long as I can remember I've possessed a deep empathy and a desire to nurture others. After having had two children of my own, the idea of working with families during their journey to parenthood felt like a natural direction to pursue.
