Manuella Orsi
About me
My path to becoming a doula comes from both my clinical background and my lived experience caring for families. I am a registered nurse by training, and after moving to the U.S., I spent years supporting families as a nanny, building deep trust in their most intimate routines. Becoming a doula allowed me to reconnect with my nursing roots while offering something deeply human: calm, presence, and informed support during one of the most transformative moments of life.

My husband and I hired Manu as our postpartum doula to help us in the evenings with our newborn baby. As it was our first child we were overwhelmed but every night Manu was with us we felt more at ease and well supported. Manu is patient, kind and incredibly knowledgeable. It's clear that she has a gift for this type of work. We ended up extending our initial contract with her because we were loving her approach and suggestions. We would've kept extending if she didn't have other clients. We're so thankful for the time we had with Manu! Both my husband and I learned so much in our weeks with her. Hiring Manu was one of the best decisions I made in journey as a new mother.

Manu was an amazing postpartum doula for our family. She came twice a week for a few hours and was incredibly helpful, kind, and supportive during those early weeks. She taught us helpful ways to soothe our baby and how to put her down for sleep, which gave us a lot more confidence as new parents. Having those few hours to rest and recharge was so valuable during my postpartum recovery. We’re very grateful for her support and would highly recommend her to other families.

Manu was very helpful during my pregnancy and labor/delivery. As a first time mom, I was feeling overwhelmed and had so many questions, but she walked me through every single one of them and helped me build a birth plan that made me feel safe and confident. Her support during labor was also great, she used aromatherapy and taught me breathing techniques that made me feel more relaxed and focused in such a delicate moment. She definitely made my whole experience a lot smoother!
