A little about us: we’re a French/German-American couple in our 30s, and this is our first baby. I tend to be thoughtful and preparation-oriented, and I’m looking for someone calm, grounded, emotionally attuned, and experienced supporting first-time parents. My hope is for a supportive and relatively low-intervention birth experience if medically appropriate, while staying flexible and pragmatic (not too attached to anything). I am giving birth at a hospital and would like to have a natural birth without an epidural if possible. I want to have the freedom to move around and walk, stretch, shower to distract my mind versus being stuck to the bed after a shot. I would like to support in what moves and stretches to achieve this goal.
