Twin girls with scheduled C-Section at 37 weeks due around 10/20/26 (always a possibility that they may debut earlier). We (my husband and I) are looking for a night doula to help with night feedings/care for 4-5 nights/week for the first 8 weeks the girls are home (possibly will extend longer than 8 weeks). We have a 4 year old son as well, who is in preschool from 9-5:30pm 5 days per week, and my mother (who is a retired nicu nurse and lactation consultant) will likely be staying with us for at least a week or two to help during the day. I do not plan to exclusively breastfeed, and the girls will be getting primarily formula (and/or pumped milk) at night. Our house has the ideal set up, with the bedrooms all located in the back of the house (can be closed off with pocket door), leaving the whole front of the house (kitchen, laundry room, living room/tv room x2, private bathroom x2, and office/den which can be closed off) for the doula and the girls at night (plan to set up bassinets with changing table). We live in Walnut Creek, around 2 miles from downtown, up in the hills past the Bart Station in an area called “secluded valley” (which is right on the border of WC and lafayette, with most of our HOA and neighboring streets technically being in Lafayette). Price wise, we were hoping to keep the total cost around $2,000-2,500 per week (for 4-5 nights/week, shifts 8-10 hours/night, for at least 8 weeks immediately after birth), which is where the flexibility comes in the number of nights and shift length. Basically trying to keep our sanity, and allocate time for everyone to get much needed sleep when the girls arrive home. I will also be recovering from c-section during this time, and will need the extra rest.

We are first-time parents expecting a baby girl via a planned C-section at Stanford on September 16. We live in San Bruno and are looking for an experienced postpartum doula or newborn care specialist to begin after we return from the hospital. Our priority is overnight support for approximately 8–12 hours per night, ideally 5–7 nights per week for the first 2–4 weeks, with flexibility to extend. We need help with feeding, burping, diaper changes, soothing, swaddling, bottle and pump-part cleaning, and tracking the baby’s feeding and sleep. We would especially value someone trained in lactation support who can assist with breastfeeding, latch, positioning, pumping, and recognizing when an IBCLC should be consulted. Experience supporting C-section recovery is also important. The provider must communicate comfortably in English and have strong newborn experience. Postpartum doula or newborn-care training, infant CPR/First Aid, excellent references, and knowledge of current safe-sleep practices are strongly preferred. We want responsive newborn care and healthy sleep foundations—not “cry it out” or formal sleep training during the newborn stage.

Hospital - Mills Peninsula Burlingame (but stay home as long as possible because I hear going to hospital too early results in more complications) Provide your estimated budget $2000-$2500 Describe your birth plan I don't have a fully fleshed out one yet and need some help crafting it if the birth doula can help. I want vaginal birth as much as possible unless there are absolute necessary conditions/complications that require a C-section. I don't want induction unless it's absolutely necessary. I want an epidural and also open to try other pain relieving methods but that doesn't mean I don't want epidural.

Hi there! We have a 3 month old boy and currently are using a newborn care specialist overnight 7 nights a week. Her contract is up and of September and she is unable to extend. We are looking for someone who can watch him overnight in October until we are comfortable starting sleep training.
