I plan to give birth in a hospital setting. I don't have a full birthing plan yet. I need help with deciding what I want. My budget would be about $1,000. Does any doula accept insurance? I'd also like more education around the delivery process, such as what I can expect, what I should consider, how I can prepare, etc.

Hello, I am in the need for a doula for my current pregnancy. It has been something I’ve wanted to do but unfortunately my first pregnancy didn’t go as planned, so with this one I would like the support and the help that a doula can provide.

I would like a doula with a VBAC background. I want a natural, unmedicated birth and have been met with negativity and fear from providers. I want to labor at home as long as possible (our hospital is 8 minutes away). I’ve researched the Bradley Method and have been practicing those techniques.

Help with a new born for 4-6 hours a day to allow mom some recovery time.

I am currently pregnant with my second child (a boy). My first delivery in short was a series of unfortunate events that ended in a c section. I would to try for a TOLAC/VBAC. My doctors have said I’m a great candidate for it. I plan on giving birth at Baystate in Springfield MA. I am have a lot of anxiety about my birth not only due to the last time but this time around there has been a lot of miss communication and I just don’t want to be worried about everyone being on the same page while trying to have a successful labor. While having an epidural isn’t out of the question or having other medical interventions isn’t out of the question I’d like to just let my body do its thing and labor naturally with alternative pain management methods. I honestly have zero idea what a doula even costs to even know what is reasonable, if it’s covered by insurance etc.

I am looking to have a hospital birth, but with as little intervention as possible. I want to be unmedicated, ability to labor and deliver on my side or all fours, I want to delay the cord cutting, no fundal massage, no cervical checks,, and I want to be able to retain my placenta. I believe a birth via OB would stop me from this.
