Hi my name is Jessica and I plan to give birth at Sarasota memorial hospital. Babies due date is may 22 but they are going to induce me at 39 weeks due to me having type 1 diabetes. Plan on giving birth vaginally with epidural.
1 month old baby needs care from 9pm to 6am. Washing bottles and other might duties while asleep. Experience with reflux babies.
I’m currently expecting and exploring support options for both birth doula services and postpartum night doula care. I would love to learn more about whether we might be a good fit. A bit about what I’m looking for: Hospital birth with a strong preference for a natural, low-intervention labor Support with mobility, non-medical pain management, and advocacy Calm, grounding presence and clear communication Postpartum/night support focused on feeding support (breastfeeding, pumping, bottle feeds), newborn care, and allowing parents to rest I’m especially interested in: Your experience supporting hospital births How you approach pain management and advocacy during labor Your availability around my due date Whether you offer combined birth + night doula packages, and what that typically looks like Your approach to nighttime feeding support (breastfeeding vs pumped milk) Thank you so much—I really appreciate your time and look forward to hearing from you.
1. SMH Hospital 2. Depends— I’d like to learn about your offerings. 3. C Section most likely.
We are looking for overnight help for our baby, Thomas, who is almost 4 weeks old. He was born at 36 weeks, 4 days and was 5lbs 5oz, so we were instructed to combo feed with breast milk and formula. He takes bottles most of the time and breastfeeds occasionally. Since he was a preemie, we are having trouble figuring out how much he should be eating, so in addition to helping with overnight care we are hoping to get some help with feeding patterns. We are interested in sleep training as well, and just cleaning up the bottle parts.
