My one week old is feeding on breast for up to an hour (sometimes more) and when she falls asleep and I put her down, she cries for more. I’ve pumped and bottle fed as well, she takes the bottle for around 30-45 minutes and does the same process. The only time she feeds well and sleeps for a 2+ hours is when we have to supplement with formula. I’ve had virtual consultations but I really think I’d benefit most to an in-person visit.
I changed my flange size from 24 to 15 and I’ve seen a huge tank in my supply. I don’t want to give up breastfeeding but I’m close I have horizon nj health
Have a one week old. It feels like breastfeeding is going really well, but want to be sure her latch is good, understand different breastfeeding positions, and better understand starting to build a freezer stash for bottle feeding in the future. I have been able to collect a decent amount with light use of my boon trove, but want to be sure I’m using it correctly. Would love an in- person appointment.
Recently discharged home with newborn after challenging delivery where baby needed to be fed formula for first day of life, now trying to build up milk supply with pumping and formula supplementation. Need help with coordinating pumping and feeding schedule, and working on deep latch - despite some signs of increasing supply in first postpartum week like mild engorgement and baby being able to feed for longer with less intake of formula, having significant nipple soreness and some change in shape of nipple consistent with shallow latch in cross body hold. Also would like help with trying out other baby nursing positions, since I have bilateral carpal tunnel. Prefer home visits for hands on guidance, but can travel within a short drive (max 30 min) for outpatient visit if necessary
I’m planning to give birth at New York Presbyterian lower Manhattan. I am looking for a birth doula and a laceration consultant for a few sessions of support after my birth. I am also interested in postpartum doula support in the first month after birth to help me learn to care for my infant and help me heal since this is my first child.
72 hours postpartum with our newborn (second child). Her breasts feel very full but she isn't getting relief from feeding, and when she pumps afterward, she's getting less than 1oz. We're currently supplementing with 1oz of formula per feed. We'd like an IBCLC who can help assess latch and milk transfer, ideally with an in-home visit in Park Slope, Brooklyn (11215) soon. Please let us know if you accept BCBS insurance (BCBS-MA/BlueCard) and your earliest availability.
About four days after giving birth and breastfeeding, my nipples were in so much pain and breastfeeding was super painful. This only lasted a couple days though and was really good for a while. Then earlier this week I got a blister on my nipple and things have been painful again. I’m not sure what happened. I think my breasts may be getting too engorged and she’s having trouble getting a deep latch sometimes now. She’s three weeks old. Would love to have a home visit soon. I have United healthcare community plan and am having trouble finding anyone that takes it.
Suddenly got shallow painful latch at week 5. Went to some support groups and did online but no help. They had told me all the basics. In person and <100
I am with BCBS -member ID# XEA915452369. (Gold 80 PPO 350/25 plan) Looking for in person lactation consultant as a first time mom without any breast feeding experience.
I'm 10 weeks postpartum and breastfeeding and pumping. I've recently experienced a significant decrease in my milk supply, mostly in my right breast. I've been consistently pumping every three hours (even after I nurse) in hopes to get my supply back up. Despite these efforts my output has remained fairly low (1-3 ounces per session at best). I'm looking for in-person help identifying the issue and helping rebuild my supply and hopefully getting to a place where I can nurse again without needing to give a bottle after.
Just got home last night after c-section and need support asap
I want to make sure my pump fits right and I know how to use it. I want an in person visit. My baby isnt here yet. So for now this is on top of mind
I'm looking for a doula to support me throughout my 3rd trimester of pregnancy, during labor and delivery, and in the postpartum period. I'm hoping to find someone who has experience supporting births at Englewood Hospital, has extensive experience as a doula, and is supportive of a medicated birth. It's important to me to work with someone who will respect my birth preferences while providing guidance, advocacy, and evidence-based support throughout the process.
Hi there! Need support with a few things Baby was in NICU for a few days out of precaution and we left with her combo feeding - breast and formula. I wanted to get her off formula so I started pumping twice a day, and now we’re doing occasional top offs with breast milk in a bottle after I breast feed her. Would love guidance to know if she’s getting enough milk from my breasts and if the top offs are still necessary. My breasts still feel full after but she falls asleep as hard as I try to wake her up. She’s doing 15 min and 10/15 min. Guidance on when to pump. Right now doing one AM and one PM because my breasts hurt and feel like I need to empty them. wondering if I’m doing this “right” How long to pump for so that I DON’T trigger my body to make extra milk Will be going back to work in December. Would love a plan. Just overall guidance :)
