I have been Nourished by Shev immensely over the last year. I rarely remember to take pictures because you just want to devour whatever she puts in front of you. You know that your food is not only being prepared with love, but wholesome ingredients and a wide array of flavour — you might as well just go ahead and order seconds!
Her cornbread. Her soups. Her SALMON! Whether you are purchasing from her weekly menu or ordering meal prep dishes for the week, her food truly shows the amount of care that goes in. Absolutely delicious, thoughtfully prepared, and made with intention.
Also, I have had the privilege of mentoring Shev as she develops her postpartum doula practice. As a birth and postpartum doula myself for almost nine years, I’ve seen her passion, willingness to learn, and genuine desire to support families well. She has the heart and foundational qualities needed to come alongside families during one of the most vulnerable and significant seasons of their lives. She has an inviting tenderness and knows just what to say when it needs to be said. She’s naturally attentive toward children, and her desire to serve others is clearly rooted in her love for God. And I see that most of all when she is with her girls and during Sunday school at church.
