My name is Shavonne Stevens (Seneca, Wolf Clan) and I reside on Seneca Nation Territory in Irving, NY. I am a Full Spectrum Indigenous Doula and Lactation Counselor. Love What I Doula was created to reclaim traditional birth, postpartum and parenting practices for my community in Western New York. By fostering a culture of knowledge sharing, doulas can positively impact the birth experiences of countless families. It doesn’t matter who you are, where you’re from, your age, nationality, beliefs or what your background is, I will empower and support you! I am also a breastfeeding and lactation advocate, providing moms with the tools and resources to support a healthy start. I believe that all families deserve accessible, culturally appropriate evidence-based care. Birth work has taught me how to mold to the mothers or family’s needs at any given time. I am honored to share my knowledge and provide support throughout your pregnancy, birth and postpartum journey!
