Hello, I'm planning on delivering at Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, VA. This will be my 3rd birth and aiming for a VBAC (first was vaginal after several days of induction and long labor in 2022 and second was C-section after several days of induction and short period of pushing in 2024). We’re moving midway through the pregnancy to the DC region, Maryland side. We’ll probably live in the Rockville area but I’m hoping to give birth with the midwives at George Washington University’s hospital. I’m looking for a labor doula to support an unmediated birth. I also struggled with low supply with my first child so I’m hoping to find a lactation consultant who specialises in that. We have Tricare, which covers both doulas and IBCLCs.

We are looking for a midwife and/or doula who is experienced in supporting natural, holistic, and intuitive birthing experiences, specifically home water births. This is our first birth, and we want to feel supported, informed, and respected throughout the entire process. We value a provider who honors the body’s natural ability to give birth while also remaining attentive, knowledgeable, and grounded. Our intention is to have a natural home water birth, with a focus on low intervention and supporting physiological labor.
