Hello! My name is Shervande Dorvil, but most people refer to me as Shy. I’m an Overnight Newborn Care Specialist and Postpartum Doula in the Los Angeles, CA area who specializes in twins. I currently have eight years of experience providing overnight care for newborns and support to parents. I am a punctual and organized individual who takes pride in the knowledge and guidance I can provide when it comes to children’s developmental milestones. I also have experience with sleep shaping, helping families establish healthy sleep habits so that even after my time with them has ended, parents can continue getting the rest they need. It truly warms my heart to see the impact I make in each new household by giving parents the relief of a night of uninterrupted sleep. Overnight Newborn Care | Singleton

Personalized overnight newborn care for one baby, including feeding and bottle support, diapering, soothing, sleep routines, newborn tracking, bottle washing and preparation, baby-related laundry and organization, and parent education. During periods when baby is safely sleeping and all agreed-upon newborn-related duties are complete, the provider may rest while remaining available and responsive to baby throughout the night. A retainer is required to reserve contracted dates.

Overnight Newborn Care | Twins

Overnight care for twins, including feeding and bottle support, diapering, soothing, sleep routines, newborn tracking, bottle washing and preparation, baby-related laundry and organization, and parent education. During periods when baby is safely sleeping and all agreed-upon newborn-related duties are complete, the provider may rest while remaining available and responsive to baby throughout the night. Awake Overnight Newborn Care | Singleton

Dedicated overnight newborn care with the provider remaining fully awake and attentive throughout the entire shift. Care includes feeding and bottle support, diapering, soothing, sleep and routine support, newborn tracking, bottle washing and preparation, baby-related laundry and organization, and parent education. A retainer is required to reserve and secure contracted dates

So happy I picked Shy to watch my baby boy. Unfortunately, my maternity leave was only about a month, and I knew there was no way I would have been able to continue doing night shifts while working. I found Shy from a referral, and she really helped make my night so much easier! While I still had to wake up for breastfeeding, Shy was there for all the transitions and allowed me to really get the most sleep I could by taking care of literally everything. Even just the fact that my pump parts were always washed and ready to go made life so much easier! Even just watching her holding my baby, I could tell that she truly does care, and just that alone let me know my baby was always in good hands! Once again, thank you so much, Shy, couldn’t have done this without you!

I found Shy on here when me and my husband was looking for a newborn overnight nanny in the beginning of last year. My daughter had colic at around 2 weeks old and I was honestly a train reck and didn’t know what it do. It still feels like a fever dream sometimes. I don’t know how she did it, but Shy managed to take over for us to get some sleep and gave us some techniques that she liked to use to help soothe, Honeslty for about 6 months getting the sleep needed was such a relief and thankfully the colic went away at 3. But throughout it all Shy was there to help guide us and give us the assisstance we desperately needed.

What does overnight newborn care include?

Overnight care is personalized to your baby and family and may include feeding and bottle support, diapering, soothing, sleep routines, newborn tracking, bottle washing and preparation, baby-related laundry and organization, and parent education. My goal is to provide attentive care for your baby while allowing you to rest and recover.

Do you support breastfeeding and pumping parents?

Yes. I can support your established feeding plan through overnight bottle preparation, breast milk handling and storage, pump-part and bottle care, feeding tracking, and bringing baby to you for nursing when desired.

Is a retainer required to reserve my dates?

Yes. A retainer is required to officially reserve your contracted dates. Retainer amounts, payment schedules, cancellation policies, and other contract details will be discussed during your complimentary consultation and outlined in your service agreement.

Payment / Billing Services

Payment and Billing Services are billed by the hour or according to a written service agreement. Clients receive invoices showing service dates, hours, rates, payments, and any applicable service-credit retainer.

Refund and Dispute Policy
