Shonda Faye is the CEO and Owner of Gracious Beginnings Doula and Wellness. She is a birth/postpartum doula and a yoga instructor. Before answering the call to become a doula, she was already doing things that aligned up with the duties of a doula helping friends in postpartum period and did an internship with a OB/GYN in high school. After completing a doula mentorship, she felt the need for Black Families to feel empowered in every decision regarding maternal health. Leading through God's wisdom and discernment, she believes those will help maternal care being physically, mentally, and spiritually sound. Being of Jamaican descent, she values the tradition and resilience of what her cultural brings to helping families. Shonda Faye knows that bringing life into this world is one of the highest callings God gives families and believes in giving a foundation to help you walk into your new journey. She is reliable, compassionate, and dependable to your family's needs as you navigate this journey God has called you on.

We work together on doing the work that was established from your birth preferences from nutrition, movement, and providing resources that's tailored to your family unit so you can have the birth you desire. Providing spiritually, physically, and verbally support before, during, and after. With Evidence based information, you can make informed decisions to have the experience you prayed for. Services that are offered once you are home to help you adjust to your new addition. From lactation help, running errands, or doing household chores, this helps the family feel supported.
