I strongly recommend having Hua as a lactation consultant. She was both very professional and friendly. I felt comfortable with her as soon as she arrived. In one hour, I got all my questions answered, and I felt so much more confident with breastfeeding, and you will love the massage, amazing!

Hi, my name is Amalyn, and I’m a postpartum nurse devoted to caring for mothers, newborns, and families during one of the most meaningful and vulnerable times in their lives. Hi everyone My name is Desiree and I provide sleep education and coaching services to parents that need help in improving their baby/child's sleep habits. I first assess sleep and routines, make changes and get sleep foundations in place and then work with parents on a strategic way to sleep train their baby / child. Additionally, I rule out other things that could be causing poor sleep such as foods, environment, and / or restricted airways (sleep disordered breathing).

I have been helping families succeed since the birth of my first child, Isaac, in 2000, first as a childbirth educator, then as a La Leche League Leader, then as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. My background is in international environmental policy, but when my kids came along, my heart took me in the direction of the birth and baby world. I truly love helping families come into their own. In my spare time, I knit, sew and garden, volunteer, and work for social justice. I am the proud mom of a Western Washington University senior, a Nova High School junior, and am a graduate of Brown University (BA in environmental studies) and University of Washington Evans School of Public Policy.

I was slightly skeptical at the beginning of my lactation journey when I first consulted with Betsy Hoffmeister due to some unpleasant experiences with prior lactation consultant; I was hopeful due to the positive experiences of others. I’m glad I followed my instinct and chose Betsy as my lactation consultant. Betsy is very knowledgeable and professional. She is thorough and client-focused in her interactions. I was in a rough place postpartum and spent a very long time trying to explain what I wanted at the first appointment. Betsy patiently listened at every session and helped me become focused on my goals. I consulted with her for the entirety of my lactation journey, and I became confident as a mother by following her advice. She also tailored her knowledge around my needs. Betsy was a teacher, healer, and counselor because she went extra 10 miles at every appointment. It was her wisdom and kindness that help pave the best outcome for my baby. Thank you, Betsy, for being a gem of a person, amazing professional, and a beautiful person (both inside & out) & it was an honor to be guided by you!

My husband, of over 30 years, and I have three grown children. We are super excited to be living in Kitsap Co. again after being away for most of our married lives. As a certified Doula, postpartum doula and Childbirth Educator I enjoy all aspects of the birth process, providing kind, experienced support before, during and after labor. Your birth should be a beautiful, empowering experience in the environment of your choice. I will be by your side to support your choices, give physical, emotional, and informational support as well as advocate for you during decision making. Please consider me as part of your support team as you navigate this important time in your life.

If I could give a rating higher than five stars, I would! Jocelyn was able to take over and advocate for me when I was unable to do it myself, and when my partner and I were unsure of what decisions to make before and during the delivery process. She was there for us from the early stages of labor to when our baby was in my arms for the first time. She is both knowledgeable and creative in her methods and had answers to all our questions. She far exceeded the expectations we had and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for doula services.

I am a Christian and I have a husband and 4 children of my own ranging from age 5 to 13. My mission as your birth doula is to help you have a positive, fulfilling birth experience where you feel supported, encouraged, empowered and heard. My desire is to provide a calm, judgement-free space where you can be YOU and birth how you need to. I believe that you are the expert on your body and emotions. I will take on your goals and desires as my own, and I will be completely dedicated to protecting the memory of your birth.

Trina was a wonderful Doula who shared her peaceful presence, extensive knowledge, and practical strategies in our visits leading up to giving birth. This carried over to the day of birth and we could not have done it without her! She was extremely grounding and helpful to my husband- relieving him to eat or just take care of himself, while she continued to take care of and support me. She was a team player and always deferred to us, but made great suggestions when we asked for them. I would highly recommend Trina (and I have recommended her to friends!).

Anna is one of a kind! She holds the balance of being professional while also being warm, kind, and curious. I’m so thankful for taking the babyfeeding class with Anna. I knew very little about this topic and honestly felt so clueless, but after Anna’s class I felt equipped and confident. Her class was the perfect mixture of informative yet concise. This babyfeeding class is so worth the time, and Anna is so personable in answering your questions and providing support beyond the class. Anna feels like a safe space you can always go back to with questions or concerns and you never feel like an inconvenience.

My name is Liza Hameza (Schaefer). I’m a mother of 4, doula, educator, and podcaster who’s spent 15 years studying birth in the fields. What began as a personal story has grown into a lifelong calling. Since then, I’ve supported over 490 births in different birthing settings, guided hundreds of parents through childbirth preparation and the first tender months with their newborns. Alongside modern doula practices, I weave in the wisdom of postpartum traditions I’ve learned in different countries - Belarus, Ukraine, Germany and Cyprus - rituals that honor a mother’s strength and nurture recovery. In addition to my one-on-one work with families, I’m passionate about teaching and mentoring doulas worldwide. I lead specialized trainings, and have been invited to speak at international conferences on birth and parenthood. I also created Oxytocin World, a podcast that brings together midwives, anthropologists, psychologists, researchers, and doulas to share knowledge about birth, parenting, and relationships. I believe birth is more than a medical event - it’s a profound initiation for families, one that deserves care, respect, and continuity. My role is to walk beside you in that journey: grounding, encouraging, and offering both practical tools and emotional support. Outside of doula work, I feel most alive when cooking, practicing yoga, running, hiking in the mountains, or just being with my family. These everyday joys keep me grounded and remind me what truly matters.

Hi! I’m Jaya Mallik (she/her), a birth and postpartum doula in Maple Valley, WA, where I live with my husband, Nathan, and our two daughters, Asha and Diya. My journey into doula work began with my own birth experiences. After an emergency first birth and postpartum depression, I found healing during my second birth with the support of a culturally aligned doula who empowered me and honored my values. Her guidance inspired me to provide the same compassionate care to others. As a Woman of Color and current DEI practitioner, I’m committed to addressing healthcare inequities and ensuring every birthing person feels empowered and supported through this transformative journey.

We can't say enough wonderful things about Jaya! She was a wonderful addition to our birth team and made both pregnancy and labor a comfortable and safe experience. Throughout pregnancy, Jaya was a great communicator. She was always willing to answer our questions and checked in on us as we got closer to the end of our pregnancy. When we met in person to discuss our vision for labor and delivery, she shared an immense amount of information with us and helped us craft a birth plan. She was respectful of all of our wishes and helped us to feel informed and prepared. We were unexpectedly induced before the end our pregnancy. When we found this out, Jaya immediately called us to talk things through. She was kind and gentle and made sure we had the information we needed. When she joined us in the hospital during labor, she brought with her a balance of both calmness and positivity. As labor progressed and we had to make decisions about care, she again made sure we had the right knowledge to make informed decisions. She supported both me and my partner as we navigated the challenges of labor, and helped to bring both joy and serenity into the room. Overall, Jaya was incredibly supportive, kind, and knowledgeable. She made us feel safe, listened to, and empowered. We would highly recommend her for birth doula services, and are very grateful for her support and wisdom.
