About me

Hi, my name is Sophia! I’m a Registered Nurse, DONA-trained birth doula, and currently pursuing certification through DONA International. My passion for perinatal health and supporting growing families deepened throughout my nursing education, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing and gained maternal-newborn experience. I have always had a heart for caring for others, and those who know me often describe me as a compassionate, calming, and encouraging soul. I genuinely enjoy listening to people, learning their stories, and helping them feel seen and supported. Service and faith are also deeply woven into who I am. Serving individuals and families from different backgrounds through global outreach trips has taught me to approach each person with humility, curiosity, and respect for their unique values and experiences. My Christian faith shapes the way I strive to care for others—with compassion, gentleness, and encouragement. Outside of nursing and doula work, I enjoy baking, staying active, volunteering, and spending time with loved ones. I consider it a privilege to be invited into such a meaningful season of a family’s life, and my hope is that every family I support feels genuinely seen, cared for, and encouraged along the way.

Service introduction

As your birth doula, I provide continuous emotional, physical, and informational support throughout pregnancy, labor, and birth. I can help you explore your birth preferences, prepare questions for your care team, and offer comfort measures, encouragement, and partner support throughout labor. I support both medicated and unmedicated birth preferences, and my goal is always to support you—not just a birth plan. My services are non-medical and centered on helping you feel heard, informed, respected, and encouraged. For families who desire it, I am also happy to incorporate prayer or faith-based support.
