Hi there! My name is Raegan Garcia, I’m currently 30 weeks pregnant with my second and due date is September 8. I’ve never had a doula, and after a not so pleasant first birth, I really think it would be a game changer for me to have one! I live in Windermere and delivering at Winter Park Hospital. My goal is to labor at home as long as possible, go to the hospital and hopefully have an unmedicated birth, but I’m not opposed to getting an epidural if necessary. I was induced with my first and had an epidural, so I’ve never experienced the natural progression of labor and pain is a fear of mine. I don’t know what an estimated cost would look like, so I don’t know a reasonable number to put as my budget. But this is something I really want so cost isn’t really an issue.
