We are planning to birth at the Advent Health Celebration campus. We want an unmedicated and natural delivery. We’re looking for a doula to advocate for us with the hospital staff during labor to achieve these goals as far as medically possible. Our budget is $700.

My baby will be born at AdventHealth Celebration. As a native Portuguese speaker, although I do speak English, I am looking for a professional who speaks Portuguese or Spanish, as that would be very helpful for me. I am 36 years old, so my pregnancy is considered high-risk. My doctor explained that if the baby does not arrive by 39 weeks, they will induce labor to ensure she is born by 40 weeks. Therefore, I would like to have a doula who can support me with more guidance, as I would like to have a natural birth.

Birth is meant too be spiritual, sensual, sexual, etc, not fear based like in the traditional medical system. I have one previous pregnancy, one previous birth that was a traumatic experience in which the hospital staff outright lied to me about the black box warning on vitamin k injection, and neglected to mention any risks at all let alone the black box warning on pitocin and epidural. They suggested pitocin and without knowing any risks, I agreed on the simple fact that "it can be turned down or off and will be out of the body within 5 minutes" but then no one even offered to turn it down, they allowed (with smirks on their faces) me to be in out-of-my-mind pain begging for an epidural, shoving a clipboard in my face "just sign anywhere!" and it was just a nightmare where everything I studied up on for 9 months prior went out the window because of the outrageous pain. I was meant to have a doula, but she was sick at the time of the birth so we agreed to not have her attend for the safety of myself and my newborn. I believe her presence and advocacy would've made a HUGE difference in my birthing experience and I am hoping for redemption this time around. I just want to protect my baby and give him the best welcome to this realm possible! I would like a lotus birth, as well.

Hello, I’m currently with Ambetter health seeing providers at Lake Nona hospital. I come from a family of natural birth. I want to make this reality for my first baby. Ideally I really wanna have my baby at home. I’m not sure if any insurance will cover it.
