About me

I have been a nurse for 20+ years. As a nurse I have seen the impact that doulas have on maternal and infant health. For that reason I also became a doula. I am certified in reiki, TENS unit application, and water birth. I am also studying herbalism, aromatherapy, and acupressure. I believe that all mothers should have access to all holistic services related to birth. I am certified through DONA International. I would love to be your doula!

Stacie was my doula for the birth of my 3rd child. She still needed a certification birth so I reached out to her and signed up with her to be my doula. My partner and I were very nervous about allowing someone in our home due to a past tragedy in our town. A doula in our town several years ago killed a woman and stole her baby. Due to this we were very nervous. Stacie eased our concerns right away by presenting in a very professional manor. She was extremely knowledgeable about pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding,  and postpartum.  She was also able to provide references, actual certifications, and professional organization details. Because of this, our anxiety disappeared.  She was there for 3 prenatal visits, the birth, and a postpartum visit. She was very supportive through the whole process.  I did end up needing to be induced, and got an epidural, but she was still very helpful. She provided great support from the moment we all arrived at the hospital to about 2 hours after the birth. I would highly recommend Stacie (Holistic Expectations) to be a doula. She is professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate.  I would use her again.

So I was one of Stacie's first clients. She was looking for women to use as certification births. She needed 3 and had made a social media post looking for women to receive free doula services. I jumped on that chance. Unfortunately, because I wanted to have a freebirth, I didn't qualify as a certification birth. I am a homesteader, and have no electricity, no cell phone, I only call through the internet, and our water is fed to our house through gravity. Neither my husband nor I work. We live entirely off of our land. Anyway, I was disappointed that I didn't qualify for free services because I didn't have any money for a doula. Stacie considered it and ultimately agreed to help us out on the barter system. She was extremely knowledgeable and was very helpful. She even purchased a birth pool for us to use during labor. She showed up in the middle of the night, the night before father's day, and helped me through labor and delivery while my husband delivered the baby. It was the best birth experience I've ever had. I highly recommend her.

I realized early in my pregnancy that I would need a doula. I wasn't even 8 weeks pregnant when I met with Stacie for the first time. I'm a single mother, then of 2 girls both under 3. I was not in a relationship with the father of my children due to domestic violence. When I found out I was pregnant, he said the baby wasn't his. So I was alone. Stacie supported me throughout my entire pregnancy. She showed up on time, every time, and often saved me from confrontations with the father. She was great to my girls. She was great to me. When I went into labor, I knew it would be quick. She showed up to my house, stayed with me for a couple of hours, and even drove me to the hospital. She held me while I pushed. She gave me everything I wanted. Stacie is an amazing person who was meant to be a doula. You would be a lucky woman to have her as your doula.

Holistic Expectations was my doula service during the birth of my first child. Stacie was exceptional! She was friendly, knowledgeable, and patient with me. Since this was my first birth, I was very uneducated. Stacie took the time to explain all things pregnancy and birth to me before the birth even occurred. While I did end up being induced, I still had the unmedicated birth that I wanted. She stayed in touch afterward and even showed me how to wear my baby at my postpartum visit. If I could give her 10 stars, I would!

I had the absolute privilege of having Holistic Expectations Birth Services as my doula for my second birth. At my first birth, I had many interventions I never intended that could have been avoided with the advocacy of a doula. This time around, I got every item on my birth wishlist thanks to Stacie. She was extremely patient, encouraging, and helpful, stepping in when I couldn’t/didn’t speak up for myself. I give this both a 10/10. I couldn’t be more happy with it went. I highly recommend Stacie and encourage anyone who is expecting to consider having her as their doula. From pregnancy to postpartum, she will take exceptional care of you.
