I'm in need of a birth Doula to support me for my birth in September a lactation consultant to help me with breast-feed enough that I give birth and a midwife to support my birth
I require a consultant to help me with latching with my baby. I am not producing sufficient amount of milk and hence will need an experienced person to help me and guide me through this. It would be better to have the consultant to visit my home. My insurance is blue cross blue shield
First time mom, prefer natural route. Seeking any and all advice.
Want to be able to be free from any hospital restrictions of movement, would consider a birthing center as top option. Looking for an African American dollar, one who has experience with older pregnancy (41years old).and for my specific wishes at birth, to be adhered to and to help with lactation and post partum.
Hospital, budget is low I was hoping it would be covered through insurance. I have Cigna. Birth plan is vaginal delivery with a faster recovery. I want an epidural. Doula would need to have some experience and speak English. Familiar with Jewish law is a plus.
I am looking for a lactation consultant (IBCLC) because I am having issues with latching and milk production and flow. At least a year of experience but am flexible. Maximum budget $300 for multiple visits, ideally insurance can cover but I'm having issues seeing what insurance can cover.
Currently my new born is on formula and need to get shifted to breast feeding. Also, my milk supply is very small. Need help in increasing milk supply and changing my newborn to breast feed. In-home visit is much appreciated.
Hi, Looking for a doula to help me prepare for childbirth and be present at the birth - hoping for a medicated vagina birth in the hospital (Jersey City Medical center). This is my first child. My husband and I have no family in the country (we’re British from the UK) and so extra support is needed. Would also like support after during the postpartum stage. Unsure on costs for this kind of thing so advice would be great. Thank you
Getting baby to relatch she was latching up until a week old and then stopped
I gave birth on March 5th and the today is day 4, and I feel my best is engorged on both side. I used breast pump multiple times per day, but still only 10-15 ml per pump on both side. The baby latched on the first 2 days, but it’s a shallow latch, and he can’t suck out much milk. I would like to request an onsite visit.

Post partum consultant for lactation First time mom
Hello, My wife recently gave birth to our son on 11/24/25. He has been eating consistently, but while he matched his birth weight after 1 week, he has actually lost 1.5 ozs in the last two weeks. She is interested in working with someone on how to best use our pump, and also deal with some nipple pain, among some other questions and issues she has to ensure she is feeding our son effectively and efficiently. We have an Aetna Elect-Choice Open Access plan and are located in Prospect Lefferts Gardens in Brooklyn. We are looking for at least one in-home visit to make sure she is using the pump correctly. Please let me know if you have availability and if you need any further information from us. Best, Corey Greenblatt
Currently seeking support for my wife and son. My son may have lip/tongue tie. We're waiting to get some blood work done on him to ensure he does not have factor 11 blood deficiency, and from there we will decide on how to move forward with the procedure to correct his possible lip/tongue lip. Currently need support with his latch to breastfeed.
We are looking for a Doula or postnatal care specialist that is covered by our insurance. We have Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield in New York. We are not interested in exclusively out of pocket care providers due to cost reasons unfortunately!
We don't know how much doula costs so we need a guidance here. We live in Jersey City (Newport) and need postpartum doula. About us: We’re a bilingual English-Russian couple, both Jewish and fairly agnostic. While religion isn’t central to our lives, we’d prefer someone who understands our cultural background—usually that’s other Jewish people or Christians. This will be our first baby, and we’re looking for someone who can help us prepare. Ideally, we’d like to start with a call to go over what to expect and how to get ready for labor. We also want someone to visit us at home on the second day after birth to walk us through feeding and basic newborn care. Longer-term, we’re open to ongoing support and possibly having someone with us during labor, depending on pricing. We have Anthem insurance and would appreciate a clear picture of the financial commitment up front. In terms of approach, we’re pragmatic and prefer someone who’s professional, kind, and direct. I don’t like being called “mommy” or being spoken to in a cutesy or overly emotional way. A grounded, focused personality would be a better fit. We’re sensitive and emotionally aware, but not drawn to overly spiritual approaches. We’re looking for someone who understands both the science and the natural, intuitive side of birth, without leaning too far into either extreme. For labor, I plan to move around, avoid medication if I can manage the pain, and steer clear of anything involving needles. I’ve tried meditation and it doesn’t work for me, so I’d prefer other methods like breathwork, bathing, dim lighting, and moving intuitively. English is my second language, so clear pronunciation is important. And finally, we have a very active and friendly corgi, so being comfortable around dogs is a must.
