We live in Playa Del Rey and planning to have a birth in Cedars-Sinai in Beverly Hills. Our estimate budget is $1500-3000 but this will depend on the available options. I am working with a midwife as my primary care provider, and for now we are planning on a natural birth, preferably no induction (unless medically required), maximizing freedom to move during birth. I want to have an epidural as an option if I need it but I am planning to go without it for as long as possible and see how it goes. I am 25 yo, this is my first baby (a boy). We are looking for a russian speaking doula who will be able to help during birth and also provide guidance in postpartum journey (newborn care, pp recovery). Cleaning / cooking / laundry is unnecessary and is not a primary reason for our search but could definitely be beneficial!

I’m hoping for as natural of a birth as possible, but I’m also open to changing plans if it’s what’s safest for me or my baby. More than anything, I’m looking for someone who will help me feel informed, confident, and supported throughout the process. My partner will be with me during labor, and I’d love a doula who works well alongside partners and helps us both feel prepared. I’m looking for someone who provides emotional support, comfort measures, guidance through labor positions and breathing techniques, and gentle advocacy so we can make informed decisions together. Because this is our first baby, it’s important to me to build a trusting relationship before birth. I’d love to learn about your experience, what’s included in your services, how you support clients during labor, and whether you offer prenatal and postpartum visits. We’re looking for one person who can be both our Birth Doula and Postpartum Doula for overnight infant care. We’re located in South Redondo Beach Beach and would be giving birth at Torrance Memorial Hospital. Our Doula would need to meet Carrot requirements including certification. I plan to give birth at the Kaiser Baldwin Park hospital (Los Angeles county). I am looking for care that is fully covered by my Kaiser insurance. My birth plan is still in work, but I would generally am ideally looking for a physiological/ low-intervention birth. I value an evidence-based approach and someone who is highly collaborative with hospital nursing staff, so experience at Kaiser Baldwin Park would be a big plus. During birth, I will respond better to a calm,and grounded presence but someone who will still be firm and supportive. For postpartum care, I am especially looking for newborn care support and lactation support.

This is my first baby and I plan to give birth at a birth center. My insurance doesn't cover a doula so my budget would be $1500. I would like my provider to have experience with severe back pain. I can not lie on my back and transitional movements are extremely painful. I want to gain better understanding of birthing positions that will be right for me. I want to learn different pain management techniques and receive information on how my husband can help during the labor process. For lactation I would like to work with an IBCLC if possible. Postpartum I would like information on sleep training. I would like to meet in person with the doula at least twice before the birth and at least once after.
