We plan to give birth at UCSF in San Francisco but live in San Jose, CA. We are looking for a postpartum doula for the first 1-6 weeks in terms of lactation and breastfeeding support, newborn care (bathing, feeding). My birth plan is to have a natural delivery but if I am induced (which they have said may happen due to my age, 44) I may get induced on April 18 and may have a C section, but I will not know until week 31-32. We do have insurance coverage through my husband's plan for doula services up to $2500 but we can spend more than that if reimbursed if needed.
