Hi, I’m Amanda Carlton! I live in Mesa, Arizona with my husband and our two young boys. I’ve always had two passions: child development and aviation. I earned my degree in Child Development from California State University, Chico, and later pursued a career as a commercial pilot. While they may seem like total opposites, both fields bring out the curious, research-driven side of me—I love understanding how things work, whether it’s the science of aerodynamics or the developmental journey of a child. When I became a mom, I quickly realized how valuable my child development background was—but even with that, I struggled with my first son’s sleep. Frequent night wakings, short naps, and total exhaustion left me feeling lost. We eventually worked with a pediatric sleep consultant, and by night three, my son was sleeping through the night. The transformation was life-changing—we went from surviving to truly thriving. That experience inspired me to become a certified pediatric sleep consultant myself.
