Hello Mamas! I'm Char 🌸—a Birth & Postpartum Doula and Prenatal Yoga Instructor. It's been an honour supporting families through this special journey. My goal is to help you feel empowered, informed, and supported every step of the way. Whether you're planning a hospital or home birth, I meet you where you are and act as a bridge between your vision and your experience. I've supported families through the Doula Service Association, the Doula for Aboriginal Families Grant Program, and Vancouver Coastal Health's Indigenous Health team. My background also includes work as a Pregnancy Outreach Worker with Burnaby Family Life, leading prenatal groups, one-on-one sessions, and postpartum support circles.

Hi there, my name is Joann. I am deeply passionate about birth work and understand that each pregnancy and birth experience is unique. My goal is to provide evidence-informed care that empowers families to make the choices that feel right for them. I am also bilingual in English and Spanish, which allows me to support families in the language they feel most comfortable with. When I’m not supporting families, I’m busy with my three children and two Frenchton pups. I love connecting with people, sharing knowledge, and helping parents feel confident and supported during this transformative time.

Tessa Neilson is a Vancouver-based Registered Acupuncturist and Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner offering evidence-informed care for women’s health, fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum recovery. Her work integrates classical Chinese medicine with a modern clinical understanding of the nervous, hormonal, and musculoskeletal systems. Treatments are calm, individualized, and hands-on—using acupuncture, cupping, and herbal medicine to support physiological regulation and whole-body balance. Tessa has advanced training in reproductive and perinatal care, and works with patients at all stages—from cycle regulation and fertility support to pregnancy, labour preparation, and postpartum recovery. She offers in-home and hospital-based acupuncture support during labour, as well as treatments in her South Granville clinic.

I am a mother to 3 (2 boys, 1 angel), and I am a loss and infertility mom. I am a Certified Birth, Bereavement & Postpartum Doula with my specialty being working with families who have endured pregnancy loss, infertility, and previous traumatic births.
